The bell is new, no dents, scratches, or paint chips. The hammer handle also is new, the handle is tight the hammer head. The goon sound is loud enough to be heard in a high noise event. All in all it appears to be good quality.

The media could not be loaded. This bell is as loud as I could imagine anybody needing, and the tone is great. The sustain goes on forever. Are you getting the idea I like the sound? Someone asked for an MP3 of it ringing; I shot a video, but I doubt the volume is going to sound as impressive as it does in person. If you've priced similar bells, you can see this is a great price. I got this for a backstage sound effect, and it really cuts through the sound of a crowd. Others reviewers have complained about the condition of the bell when it showed up, and if you look at the photos they used to present their product at the top, you can see dents on the board and paint torn off at the center of the bell where the nut is. All I can say is that mine was cosmetically and functionally fine. I don't quite see how looks matter for something like this, but to each his own. And IMHO, that ringside.com sticker ain't comin' off without a major fight. ... show more
