    • Sound AMAZING but VERY poor earpad durability!
Pros: -GREAT price for the sound quality! -Very comfortable -Sounds amazing with great bass -I can hear friends & they can hear me, with clarity! Cons: -Right out of the box I disliked the poor quality of the volume control knob. It seems flimsy and the rotating of the knob is not "smooth". It feels like plastic rubbing against plastic. and I expected issues from it before long. -Secondly, to mute your mic, you must push it up into the vertical position. Not that big of deal except for the fact it makes a very audible "squeak" that your friends can hear as well. You can NEVER mute your mic discretly! -Lastly, and by far the worst, the earpads completely fell apart after only a few months! They are assembled with very weak and thin seams. One tiny tear and game over, they will be completely destroyed by the end of the next 3 days if you keep using them. I did reattach mine but it was not easy and it looks pretty bad. I used a hot glue gun but the fix is likely not going to hold long. Already bought a new headset. I LOVE Plantronics, this one is just a bad egg in the bunch.     • Lightweight and comfortable
*update (2-19-21)* - earpiece covering has come off. Had to glue covering back on. Unfortunately, this looks horrible. It works though. Another issue: spring clip that holds earpieces in is very loose. While they haven't come apart, I see this as a very weak attachment and expect problems later. Finally, and this is not an issue with the headset, but Dolby Atmos works poorly now with my games. Sounds becomes very distorted and garbled after a short time and I have to disable it. I haven't looked at how to reset Dolby because I've gone through a different way. However, when a Atmos worked, it was amazing... Still happy with headset but..... *original post* - Headset is light, has a great sound, is comfortable, and includes Dolby Atmos. Had an issue with Atmos as the code for the card I scratched was already used. I emailed Dolby my issue and after submitting the receipt and the order confirmation, they emailed me a new, working code very quickly. This thing puts out the sounds (I have to turn it down at times). Very good headset. ... show more

    • Excellent sound quality, light-weight, comfortable fit
I'm a professional teacher who conducts online classes and video conferencing sessions, so I need headphones with a boom mic (better quality for my students and office mates) and a very comfortable fit (I must wear the headset for 2-3 hours at a time). Another great feature is the boom mic that can be flipped up and out of the way; lets me take a sip of coffee and mutes the mic. So easy to operate, no fumbling with switches on cords and it's noiseless to folks listening in on the call. I'm on my second pair of RIG headphones. Recommendation: buy a replacement plug-in cable because they can go bad. Eventually, normal wear and tear will cause the connectors to short out. You won't see any signs of this, but the mic will flicker in and out to your online colleagues. Have the spare ready when you need it.     • Be very careful with them, they can break easily
I've bought these before; this is going to be my second time purchasing them but from my experience they are very nice headphones they are comfortable, detachable microphone piece, muting is alright, sound is brillant overall these are very good. I was using these headphones one day while I was playing a game and I got a lil angered that I died and I moved my head back at a pretty fast pace and the cord pulled a little and the right headphone broke and you could no longer hear out of it and I had the headphones for only 2 months! I used the left headphone only for 3 more months and it finally broke which is why I'm purchasing another pair. If you aren't use to the head piece to the top you'll break into it. ... show more

    • Mediocre for a very big reason
I'm used to using their old version Rig 400 HX and had no problems with that one. I decided to upgrade though to just a hair better, and this is what I got: good sound quality, good comfort of the actual cushions on ears and top of head, but there's one big problem I cannot get past. The new volume dial at the base of the audio cable sucks big time. Loud static any time you turn the dial. This even seems to be a pretty consistent problem. Also, it indicates in the guide for setting up the headset that there is an alternate cord you can use, but there's no sight of it in the box. The alternate cord looks like the one that was used on the 400 HX which I would have loved to give a shot, but unfortunately it didn't come with mine? Not sure if that's normal or it's just alluding to the fact that you can buy the alternate cord. Oh well. Three stars because it's all good quality EXCEPT that god-awful static when turning the volume dial. ... show more

Not worth the money at all. Minimal features. No audio setting, missing laptop sound cable, small design(seems made for children). The audio is far too quiet to hear anything effectively when plugged in to an Xbox controller(my primary reason for purchasing these). The metal design is nice, but seems like a waste of money. I would prefer if they skipped the cool metal look and added something to help this basic mono sound coming out of the headset. Skip this waste of time and money and go for the RIG 800 LX. I have ZERO complaints about the performance, fit, or versatility of that headset. (used for work and Xbox) ... show more

    • Flip mic to mute and atmos make these perfect for Xbox
This is a great headset for Xbox integration-comes with atmos and seriously makes a difference in game play. I can hear people creepin up behind me now. Best feature is flip mic to mute. I use these over my $130 arctis headset. Plenty comfortable and I have a smaller head size so worn on smallest setting and stay secure. Dislikes: the tiny adapters for Xbox or PS4. When I use these for laptop that small adapter must be removed, Xbox will create echo if adapter is not re applied. ... show more
