The media could not be loaded. I put it together pretty easily. But changing the back tire was hard. The tires and tubes that come with it seem pretty cheap and thin. I got flats pretty quick, but there's a lot of thorns here. So I upgraded to some tubeless tires, figured out how to use two 2" tubeless tires squeezed together onto this one 4" rim. It's working really nice so far. Major upgrade for this bike! Everything else seems powerful and reliable, so should get a lot of use out of this, with zero worry of flats! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It took 3 hrs to assemble due to the front wheel axle is unusually too short. Barely able to get the nut to grip the brake rotor side. Had to use the rotor and a wide mouth pliers to squeeze that side of the fork hoping it hold up. Nevertheless, all other assemble were more than 30%. Surprisingly, all my work on it paid off. This bike is off the chart in performance. Very quiet and super smooth. Will get you from point A to your destination very quickly. I have 2 now and the other is 500w whereas the ridstar is 1000w with impressive power and speed. Instructions need more info, suchas you're receive 2 different set of keys but no illustrations on where it goes. You have to look every area of the bike to find it. Long keys goes underneath (right above the big pedal sprocket) and the short is located on right side handle bar. Then on the left handle bar is the power button and ýou have keep press until gage lights come on. I had built 2 high maintenance motorized bike that goes 43 mph and recently sold 1 just to transform myself with the ebike. The Ridstar bike maynot go as top speed fast but it will beat any motorize bike out of the hole and get to it destination faster because of its explosive takeoff. Thx Ridstar. On month 10 we had the battery and terminals melt. What I thought was covered by a warranty I found out the 1 year warranty is only honored if bought directly from Ridestar's website (not Amazon). We had to replace tires, 2 inner tubes, and now the batter and terminals are gone. Not worth trying to get repaired at this point it would cost more than it would cost to buy a new bike. VERY DISSATISFIED - won't buy another Ridestar again. ... show more

I won't comment on the motor,brakes,tires, shifter, shocks ect. as they all come from a smaal pool of parts suppliers. What is important is the frame. This thing is tough. If you are 5' 8" or shorter, it is just right. I owned the Ridstar 26" and it was too tall ( un-safe for my hiegth / not a step through design ) so when stopped I had to dismount. Dual motors get up a 45 deg hill. Comes with a padded rear rack. Not that I will have a passenger so I pulled the padding off and added bags. Not a proplem. ... show more

Great bike I love how it rides, and climbs hills. However I rode my h-20" to work and some broke the right brake lever and the motor will not work so.....my 10 mile ride home was canceled and I had to get dropped off with the bike. I need a replacement right brake handle.
