This is the perfect size bag for my Kindle Fire 8 and I looked l-o-n-g and hard to find one for travel that would not be too big and bulky. I kept this one because it is roomy enough for a few other items to have on the plane (ear buds, lip balm, etc.). It will be roomy enough to empty out to use when out and about as it is large enough to hold a small wallet and a water bottle. The side pocket has a zipper, but that didn't seem to show in the pictures. This is a plus. DOWNSIDE: the smell that other reviewers mentioned. Yes, it does and I have it hanging from a clipped hanger to try airing it out. Haven't tried Febreze yet, but will. Perfect bag except for the smell. It purchased the plain black. ... show more

We bought this for our daughter's ipad at school, which she used to transport the tablet every day all day during the school year. She beat this thing up pretty badly- trying to zip it closed when it was stuffed full, holding it by one strap, etc. We put it away for the summer and she just started using it again this school year and the zipper is not moving easily.
