This thing is really heavy so be aware of that aspect. But that means, this thing will last a lifetime and take a lot of abuse. Works just fine.. but people have to realize, you need 2 of these things so get 2 of them. Solidly made, nice ends to it.. get one if you need it.

A very simple device. Length is leverage and this is a huge tire iron. I do some motorcycle tires and this is overkill for that. Meaning it's perfect. There's not much to it. Seriously heavy duty tire iron! It is heavy in weight, and is longer than our older tire iron - allowing for more leverage to get stubborn tires off the rim. The black coating on it should prevent rust, and will keep it nice for years.

I like that this tire demounting rod is a little longer than most at 41 inches. When wrestling with a tire and trying to peel it over the rim, having all of the leverage I can get really helps. This tire rod gives me that leverage. The shape helps too. The rod is heavy duty and strong. It is definitely made of very solid steel. The finish is a smooth black paint that is durable. This helps too so that it does not get hung up on the tire rubber. Hopefully, it holds up to minimize rust. For mounting and demounting tires this rod does a good job, at least on pick-up truck sized tires where I have used it. I recommend it highly. ... show more
