  • Excellent item
This is an excellent item however as all of us know the price is thru the roof. What I can say though, Shipping was extremely fast with 2 days of ordering, and in comparison, to my other automatic roller (The Powermatic III) which is priced within a normal human beings reach, putting them both side by side, and comparing their performance, Hands down the Revolution roller is much better once you get used to it. Of course, you'll have to take a second mortgage out on your house to purchase one, but we are very pleased thus far. ... show more

  • Excellent time-saving machine; superb customer service!
I have been rolling my own cigarettes for about 15 years, and I think I've used just about every type of rolling machine on the market. Frankly, I was hesitant to purchase this one since I've never spent this much money on one. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! This machine works so well and saves me so much time that I only wish I hadn't procrastinated for so long. I no longer have to dread the time it took to roll smokes -- it now takes minutes instead of hours. I am absolutely delighted, and highly recommend this product! ... show more

  • Really cuts packing in half.
I’m not typical for rating 5, so take it for the worth of the rating. First things first, it is very difficult to get everything correct to even start packing your cigarettes. You will have to buy a moisture meter to ensure your tobacco is at peak for the machine to work properly. So prep time cuts into the amount of time it takes to actually get your first cigarette. I’ve been using this machine for only a month now, and so far I’m very satisfied with the results. I have yielded 100% with an 80% satisfied with the quality of cigarette that I get. I am sure there is something that I’m missing, but I start the drying of tobacco on a metal pan lined with a thin piece of cardboard, once the tobacco is at optimal level of moisture it packs quickly. The 80% satisfied with the cigarette comes down to the idea that I have to be careful with every cigarette that I smoke. I have to feel the entire cigarette with gentle fingers to make sure there are not pockets throughout the entire cigarette, which 80% of the time, they are packed well; 20% of the time, I have to pack the individual cigarette and lose about 10% of smokable cigarette. I do understand that for the price of this machine and the compact design, it won’t be the $2.5k machine, but that’s why it’s 5 x’s less. The other problem I have not been able to troubleshoot, the amount of tobacco to dry out. If you pour a whole pan of tobacco, it tends to get too dry towards the end of your packing, if you pour too little, you’re waiting for the optimal moisture level before you can pack. I’ve tried some of the suggestions of microwave and lettuce, but that’s a scientific model I don’t really have time for. The bad: the machine is bulky even though it’s “compact” The preparation to start packing is a lot of preparation. The cleaning is a chore. The good: I have packed a carton of cigarettes in a matter of thirty minutes. There is not guess work as to how much tobacco you need in each cigarette, as long as you follow directions on the moisture of your tobacco. VERY easy to use; sprinkle in your tobacco, press a couple of buttons and just let the machine do it’s thing. The down and dirty: If you don’t want to waste fourth five minutes on packing one pack of cigarettes, even with the prep time, this machine will cut your cigarette making in half. Bare in mind, it’s a compact-home version of the cigarette makers machine. Not every cigarette will be perfect, but your yield will be higher than the manual power machine that is most popular. There is little to no effort in making your cigarettes. I’m very happy with the purchase. ... show more

  • How I Knew I Was Buying A Great Product
My local RYO shop had two big carton machines and a row of these machines. $30 a carton on the big machines, and they'd hand you the tubes and enough tobacco to use one of these machines to make a couple of packs for $5. Week after week, I got them by the carton, but noticed that no one using the small Fresh Choice machines ever complained. And since people were using these same machines, day after day, week after week, month after month, it was obvious that this is a commercial grade product that makes acceptable cigarettes consistently and can take a pounding. When news came that my local shop would be unable to operate the big machines, I didn't even go down there for a last carton. I went on-line and searched for this machine and made the purchase without a second thought. Similar to other reviewers, my cost is about $15/carton with this machine, and I think the last two cartons I just made paid off the investment. I've had it about 6 weeks. Unlike other reviewers, I don't see making a carton in 45 minutes. I don't push it but work at it consistently for 3 hours to make two cartons ever other week. Watch TV, enjoy an adult beverage, I actually look forward to doing it. I own an air compressor and thoroughly blow my machine out after each two carton round. One pound makes two cartons at the compaction level I like. After the second or third use, I have found that compaction works as expected. I had to dial back to the lowest setting when the machine was used the first time or two. Seems like there's a bit of a break-in period where the machine kind of settles into a state where it will operate as expected. I expect some negative reviewers here got tripped up on this. A little patience with the learning curve is advised. My first carton wasn't too good, the second a little better, and ever since have been building experience and make terrific cigarettes that I like so much better than the packaged product off the shelf; that used to taste this good years ago. The satisfaction of both quality and cost that matches what I remember is delicious. Too good to keep to myself, I just purchased a second machine that is on my way to my brother. ... show more

  • Not worth the price
Did not perform as expected. I was excited to find a roller with a built in hopper and multiple compaction levels. However, item was not in new condition when received (dirty and still had tobacco dust from prior use. Was only able to roll a few cigarettes before it required a cleaning cycle. This happened continuously. Tighter compaction only compacted the tobacco and left the paper unfilled. All in all not worth the price. After an entire pound of tobacco I was left with less than a dozen smokable cigarettes. ... show more
