I just got this today 12-27-24 and used it on two packs I had already made. It doesn't take much pushing it into the Leaf Only machine to get the job done. Heck, just a second is about all it takes. I cleaned out my packs just to see how much will be left once the pack is gone. It's not all that loud either. Almost like my electric shaver or hair clippers. My container is a Rubbermaid, I think. You can get them at Walmart or the grocery store. It's an 8 cup version and cheap. The things in the photo are just there to show where I put the holes. Wow ! this Leaf Only cigarette finisher is really great, I should have had it years ago. Glad I found it, I wasn't sure if it was going to workout but I figured I would try it, Glad I did. I don't know why some people are saying it is noisy, the one I got is very quiet. The way I process my cigarettes is, I inject the tobacco in the tube with my Powermatic 4+, which has been a great machine for over 2 years, Powermatic 2+ before that. (I just ordered a Powermatic 3+ it will be here next week) It leaves a little bit of tobacco sticking out the end , then I pull a little bit of that out , tap the filter end three or four times to pack it down, then I pinch the ends over so tobacco won't fall out. Now with this finisher after I inject the tobacco in the tube I pull the little bit out of the end then , just stick it in the finisher, no need to pack it down , it makes a great cigarette every time. There is no worries about any mess, I have my machine, tubes, tobacco and everything in a kitchen drawer that came from a old kitchen cabinet, been using it for years. It is perfect for the job ,I just put the drawer on my lap with everything contained plug in the machine and the finisher , and make my cigs while I watch TV. The drawer is 20" long X 14" wide with 3" high sides, It gives me plenty of room for everything I need in there and the sides being 3 inches keeps everything contained. With smooth contact paper in the bottom of the drawer , gathering up all the extra tobacco with the credit card is easy peasy. I'm getting tendonitis in my thumbs and wrist from from using the lever on the machine and pinching the ends of the cigarettes so I think this is going to help with that a lot, along with the new automatic machine with no lever With the finisher it is even faster than the way I was doing it. A Simple little gadget that works perfect for what it is made for. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that rolls their own. ... show more

I feel like most people will note 3 things when they first use this. 1) Out of the box it sounds awful when turned on 2) it makes a mess and 3) it actually does a pretty good job doing what it suppose to do. If you are here like me you likely trim your RYO Cigs for a clean look and wondering if there is a better way. This is the better way! Just needs some help. The sound it made out of the box was like 10 dentist drills and made me wonder if I could even use it but can confirm this stopped during the first use, not sure that meant the oil spread or it hit a harmonic. Either way, much better now but Leaf Only needs to QC these! The mess it makes I fixed with a thin clear plastic guard. Makes a world of difference but also wonder why at this price Leaf Only didn't consider this. Lastly, it does do a wonderful job of cleaning and slightly beveling the ends of the paper inwards to keep tobacco in and take a fraction of the time as using a scissors. ... show more

This thing is awesome. It does throw a lot of Tobacco around, so I put it in an old lunch meat container. Contains the mess. Love it

The media could not be loaded. This is my set up. Didn't know about leaf until I watched video of my PowerMajic II electric rolling machine. It makes alot of noise which is one reason why it's inside a food container bought at Family Dollar. Also to catch tobacco that gets shaved off cigarettes. To lower noise level, I used napkins with tape around them. Any kind of foam to lower noise level. Remember, leave some room for excess tobacco. Also, I smoke Pipe tobacco, Red River. Another suggestion is to grind tobacco before rolling and leafing. I use a 6 Cup food processor. It works great. I ROLL 10 PACKS OF CIGARETTES IN LESS THAN AN HOUR. ... show more

It works no more loose tobacco burning holes in my shirts. After a very short time of use it got very loud. I brushed it out still loud. I took it apart and put a tiny amount of oil on it and have used it on 2 cartons of cigarettes so far it is still quiet. Kind of a pain to do tiny motor parts and screws so we will see how often it has to be done. ... show more
