As someone that has dealt with very oily skin since my teens (I am now 46) I have tried my share of mattifying and shine-reducing products. This is by far the most effective and easiest one I've found, I wish these had existed when I was a teen! Really was not sure about this, but started hating the oil absorbing sheets, so I thought I would give it a shot. I was so wrong. This thing really works! It does need to be washed, which seems weird. I didn't want to wash the ball in fear that it would stop working so well. But taking it apart was simple. I washed it with just hand soap and let it dry overnight. It looked brand new and worked the same as it did on day 1 again! Be sure to wash it periodically. Highly recommend! ... show more

Please disregard low reviews for the ROSE QUARTZ roller complaining that it does not remove oil. It is NOT meant to remove oil. The ROSE QUARTZ roller is meant to "depuff, cool, and revive skin." And that it does. I LOVE the cooling affect that it has! I keep it in the fridge for extra coolness but it is cool on its own, making it great for travel and for keeping in a purse or cosmetic bag, especially given its small size. I knocked off a star because you need to hold it exactly perpendicular to your face and be careful so you don't pinch your face in the roller, especially around the delicate eye area. Not sure why I haven't bought this sooner, but this roller works great at absorbing excess oil. One thing I do like is that it doesn't strip your skin of its natural oil layer, just takes all the extra that can be annoying to us!

Definitely removes shine in my T-zone. Love this so much, I ordered multiple ones for car, bathroom, purse, etc. Quick & easy to use, very effective. Every face powder I've ever tried gives me acne; this lava ball does not. Wish I'd had this years ago.
