  • It gets HOT
Size: 1 inch Color: Teal
I like this straightener because it gets up to 450 degrees! It's hard to find one that gets that high! It gets the job done and I have not had any issues with it!

  • Best Flatiron I ever had!!
Size: 1 inch Color: Teal
The media could not be loaded. PROS: Glides like butter thru my hair, clamps tight on hair / no gaps on plates, has extra long plates which are great for long hair, wide range of temperature settings, smooth / curved outer shell is perfect for curling hair, cool tip for easy grip, controls are on the inside which prevents accidental temp changes, slide lock to keep closed when not in use, price point reasonable, gets HOT, beautiful color blue, Revlon is a known and trusted brand. CONS: cord is somewhat short but didn't hinder me bc my outlet is very close to where I style my hair. If needed I could use an extension cord. What's not to love about this flat iron? Don't ask me bc I couldn't tell ya! I have zero complaints and I highly recommend this to everyone! ... show more

  • Excellent value and performance
Size: 1 inch Color: Teal
This iron had everything I was looking for! 1) Tourmaline ceramic - not just ceramic. Ceramic is gentler on the hair compared to titanium, but the tourmaline gives extra shine that parallels the finish of titanium irons, without the aggressive heating from them. I usually use titanium because of my coarse thick and kinky natural hair, but since I wear my hair straightened more often than most I want to start being more caring towards my strands. The shine and smoothness I got is amazing and almost identical to my titanium irons. I've tried ceramic on it's own, and did not get the same result or even close, which is why I wanted tourmaline added. Most budget irons do not have tourmaline but this one does. 2) XL plates - I have a ton of hair and this makes the process faster because I can take wider sections. Longer plates also make curling or waving much more fool proof, unlike standard size plates where my sections easily fall out of the iron when turning the iron as my hair is very thick. 3) Clear and precise temperature control with logical intervals - the idea of having a temperature dial without clear and accurate temperature indicators makes no sense to me. I don't need to fry my hair on max but also need the temperature to be a certain amount to actually smooth it out. The intervals are reasonable. I can easily switch between 365 degrees on my more delicate hairs in the front, and 380 on the rest of my head which is coarser. I can use 400 if I want it super straight. The differences in temperature matter if you actually care about maintaining the health of your hair, especially if you have dry and damage prone curly hair. I have an iron that goes from 365 to 400 with no interval in between, and one that goes from 375 to 410. I love that this one has 365, 380, and 400 all in one iron. Amazing. 4) Lightweight - I wasn't really expecting this, but it is lighter than all of my other irons and easier to hold, clamp down, and turn. My other irons are higher quality, heavier, sturdier, and have lasted, but my hands definitely get tired holding them quickly. For someone with a lot of hair like me this makes a difference and I didn't even realize it beforehand, I'd always just put up with achy hands and fingers during my styling sessions. I imagine this may be a helpful point for someone that has arthritis or hand issues, or already uses their hands a lot in general like I do. That being said you can tell this iron isn't the same quality as higher priced irons, but ultimately performs very closely to them. 5) Dual voltage. I travel internationally, and I need to be able to do my own hair on the go. Buying multiple appliances just for travel is a pain and I'm happy that I can take this with me overseas. 6) Slim and true 1 inch width - I love this measurement and that the iron itself even on the outside is slim as well, so when curling with it, the ringlets are quite tight. Perfect to let them set before combing or brushing them out to look more natural especially if your hair is short or medium length. As the curls become more lived in, they look perfect, and the tighter curl means they will last longer, which means less styling as time goes on, and nice body maintained as you get closer to your next wash day. 7) Just aesthetically, I really like the blue color. It is reminiscent of Tiffany blue. Close enough to make your hair styling feel more girly/fancy. I specifically waited for the blue one to go on sale because the black one looked super basic and kind of ugly to me. I highly prefer things to be aesthetically beautiful and not just functional. I feel happy just looking at it because of the color. Some cons: 1) Yes it does feel more flimsy if you compare it to Babyliss, Kristin Ess, etc. Again, for someone with a ton of hair and who it takes an hour, give or take to straighten my whole head, I actually like that this is more lightweight/less bulky feeling. 2) The plates aren't completely flush upon opening and first use. This means that the plates aren't coming evenly into contact with the hair and thus some hair is getting slightly more heat. By the end of the pass all my hair is still straight though, so I don't think this is that big of a deal, but it is something to note in general. After a couple of uses I imagine this unevenness may correct itself. This would matter a lot more if you are using it on the max setting or using it more than once or twice a week (I don't). 3) The cord is short compared to my other hair tools. It doesn't make that much of a difference to me personally, but for someone who's outlets are further away from where they do their styling/their mirrors, you will probably need to use an extension cord. 4) When curling/waving, it was not that smooth of a turn on many of my sections. There is some skipping. This would be a major struggle if you are a beginner at curling with a flat iron. I have done it for years so it doesn't bother me that much. If your flat iron technique is well practiced, you will be just fine. Overall I would say this is definitely a far above average flat iron for this price point. I purchased it on sale for $23 dollars in the blue color and it is definitely one of the best options if you are looking in this price range. ... show more

  • Works well but snags hair
Size: 1 inch Color: Teal
This item works perfectly well, and I like that it has temperature control. My only issue is the top edge of the wand gets constantly caught in my hair. I have to move very slowly and make sure to just use the center of the wand so the the top edge doesn't come into contact with my hair

  • DOES NOT Turn White Hair Yellow!
Size: 1 inch Color: Teal
It’s been 5 years this December since I last straightened my hair. I didn’t have hair long enough for years after shaving my head when my now 13 year old daughter lost all her hair due to chemo. My hair grew back and is long so thought I would try straightening my natural curly / wavy (in some spots hair) I read a review that this turned white hair yellowish, and in five years I gained A LOT of white hair. I wash my hair with purple shampoo normally, so the white is always its whitest. Personally I think that’s what happened with the one review their hair might have been yellowish without them knowing since that’s what happens with white hair and it maybe locked it in? Anyways I washed my hair again with my purple shampoo which I do 2 times a week. Let my hair dry naturally and sprayed this heat protectant spray on it after it dried. I put the setting on the medium setting and separated my hair, straightening every piece. It took me less than 10 min for my whole head of hair to be straightened. You don’t need the highest heat to do this and it came out completely straightened with my white hair still white as ever. I’m VERY pleased with this straighter. It took less than 2 min to heat up enough for me to start using. Not bulky like old straighteners. Nice sleek design that takes less space to store. Great value for the price! Just buy it! ... show more
