First for those who say it doesn’t roll it does but you need to go back and forth and during that you will hear the click sound which means it’s cleaning itself in the process, it does work great and self clean great and the amount of hair it collects I couldn’t imagine until I opened it . I have the fur scraper, sticky lint rollers, and pet-specific vacuum cleaners, but I am always looking for something easy to use that will pick up fur fast, hence the reason for acquiring this roller. From the pictures, I believed I would be getting something of either a rubber material (which I have not yet tried) or sticky tape, almost like a glue trap-type tacky. To my chagrin, the item arrived with the same red brush material as something I got from the dollar store. But, well, I thought, maybe the roller feature makes this better. It doesn't roll. I had to click the roller to a clean version of the brush. I thought, no, this can't be right. So I read the minimal instructions, and it does not roll, but instead, some fibers go in opposite directions that catch fur using a back-and-forth motion. So, I did that, and it left hair behind using that action. I found it better to use one direction, roll to a clean side, and then continue. Cleaning took work. It comes with a tiny brush to brush out the fur from the brush material. It was such a hassle that I threw it in the trash. The item I have from the dollar store is much simpler to use and much easier to clean. There were some higher reviews for this product, but with a husky mix and border collie mix, I need something solid, dependable, and does not require ten steps to operate the item. It was good to try it, though, and I like the idea, but if it had a continuous roller that was self-cleaning, as the advertising pictures show, I might have given a better rating. I welcome the manufacturer or seller to contact me about using this product and shedding some light on what I potentially did incorrectly. I will increase my rating if I am contacted. UPDATE: The seller reached out to me regarding this product. I am updating my rating from 3 stars to 4 because the seller showed concern that their product was not what I expected. This does a decent job picking up dust, lint, and hair from furniture. The surface doesn't revolve very far, so you can't make long passes effectively, just kind of short wiggles back and forth. The self cleaning aspect works ok, but could be a little better. Easy to empty. Wish it grabbed small debris as well, but the efficacy is mainly limited to what the velvety pad can hold (small fibers). Didn't work on a tiny piece of glitter. Handle is comfortable to use. The rattling noise it makes while using it might be off putting for anyone with sensory issues. Not loud, but it got a little under my skin. ... show more

This is very similar to the chom chom roller, but at a lower price. They have a very similar design with a collection pad you rock back and forth. It picks up hair and deposits it into a container in the rear. You then open the door and empty the hair. I have both and they do a decent job of picking up hair (I have 2 dogs, one with short course hair and the other with medium length fine hair). The unit picks up both of their hair to a decent degree. I use it mainly on clothing and on couches. I've also used it for some quick pet hair cleanup on the stairs when I don't want to get the vaccuum out. It definitely doesn't get everything, but it works as well as the sticky rollers without having to continuously change the roll and replace them. The media could not be loaded. I have one dog and one cat but there's enough pet hair on my bedding to make it seem like a hundred animals. My cat leaves the straight prickly hairs and he seems to leave more as he gets older. My dog is a curly long hair so he leaves loose hair and little balls of fur. As a result, I use a pet hair roller every night and periodically throughout the day. This roller has features that put it at the top of the line. The handle isn't just smooth, it has a good rubber grip. It's not going to peel off or slide up because it isn't securely affixed. The handle is also a nice size in proportion to unit. The roller is a good size and makes it quick to do large areas like a blanket. You don't have to stop and peel sticky paper off every 5 seconds. The rubber stopper is firmly attached. In the past, I've had some where the rubber piece comes out of the track. The reservoir can hold a lot and you could go a long time before needing to empty but I still empty everytime. This is the best cat hair remover I’ve ever used for my furniture. For clothes this can be a bit tricky to use properly, like with the back-and-forth motion. But on carpet, furniture and rugs this picks up so much hair. And it’s super easy to clean with just popping open the back hatch to remove all the hair it’s collected. The self cleaning feature works pretty well, there is usually some hair left over in the middle next to the little wheel, in between the two red pieces. I have a very long hair, white and gray cat and his fur is literally everywhere. This has been a lifesaver for me and my dark furniture. I love that I don’t have to constantly buy those tape refills and it doesn’t produce the waste that those do either. Overall, I am really happy with this cat hair remover.
