This boombox has a lot of sound and even bass. Easy to use and has a cassette player built in (can record). It’s compact to sit in small spaces , has remote. Love it. Gave previously purchase CD Player to someone else, didn’t want to return it. I’m happy 😃

    • Little jewel with big sound.
Just got the player and tried all the players and they work great. The sound quality was very good for me but the cassette sound was a little tinny but that could be the age of the tape. Overall, I'm pleased. Time will tell how long the good qualities last.

This is a nice little unit that can play my old tapes that I still want to listen to. I also have a lot of CDs that I still want to listen to. There were cheaper options, but I like the idea of the bigger speakers, and the fact that it had a CD player and a tape player. I also looked at the weight of this unit, and it’s about twice as heavy as some of the other ones. When a tape player starts to eat your tapes is a sign the tape player is going bad. This piece of junk does it right out of the box! First tape I put in = chewed it right up like 10 seconds in. It tangled it really weird too. I'm still pretty skilled apparently at salvaging tapes but this one was perma-deathed - the tape had a chunk ripped out of it so at that point, its rekt for good and a total lost. Years of original vintage recordings lost forever. What can be said? "Great product?" Or "Thank you?" RETEKESS? More like WRECKTEKESS REKTAPESS. As foe the CD player it's OK. The speakers are better than expected. No tone controls or bass controls. It needs more bass. But it's not bad. It sounds just like portable players sounded back in the day. No real frills. Jist a darn shame the tape player is defective. IMPORTANT TIP: the issue seems to happen when the tape is inserted into the slot and closed...which is normal operation, hence, DEFECTIVE. However....if you put in the tape manually, that is, leave the slot open but wedge, and fit the tape into place yourself, everything seems to work OK. You just can't close it lol. I did a lot of testing and monitores all this. Had 3 more tapes chewed but salvaged them in time. Secondly, tapes loads upside down, which in my personal experience tends to have issues. ANOTHER IMPORTANT TIP: If your tape gets chewed.DO NOT PANIC. Stop the tape. Open and gently take the loose tape and dangle it outside the slot lid (deck). Close it. Yes, close it with it dangling out. Press rewind. You'll see it get sucked in. As soon as it does. Press stop. Open it. It will eother be ok or need more work. Sometimes there is just a bit of slack left you can take out and fix manually, and use your finger to wind it back in place. Why do the rewind thing? It's because this player sucks it in very badly it cannot be removed manually (I couldn't do it). It's very severe with 4 loops of slack (weird). So just make it go backwards and maybe forward a bit as needed to restore it fully or to a point you can handle the rest manually. Or maybe it wreck it irreparably. I'm don't think I'Im going to return it but uninstall the tape holder/lid thing since it seems to be the issue with the tape player. ... show more

    • Radio/Tape fine;but record button does not work every time
Radio sound is good. I purchased this unit especially for transferring tapes to SD Card. Record button intermittently DOES NOT work and difficult to use. Most of the times I lost 20 to 25 seconds of sound from the tape. Most probably I will return this unit.
