They work like other retainer cleaners do, you tear open a bag and drop the tablet into lukewarm water. The instructions tell you to wait overnight if need be. After about 20 minutes, the baby blue color turns into a rich blue color, which was a bit surprising, but a quick rinse and the retainers were fine.
