I have several of their 4MP and 5 MP solar powered cameras and they have performed excellent!! It works during the day and night vision at night. We live on a 6 acre lot in higher altitude and it rains a lot here but cameras are always charged ready to go. The pictures are really good during the day but can be hard to see on a rainy night as one would expect with night vision. There are many settings you can choose via the Reolink app. The motion sensor also adds to the security system and can also be customized for what you need. I have been running the cameras for over a year and so far so good. Had one issue with one camera as it stopped responding and wouldn’t get on line but Reolink quickly replaced it (after sending the one I had back). Customer service is excellent!! Very quick responses and their team makes you feel like they listen and care about resolving any issues you may. I would highly recommend any of their products!! ... show more

It connected to wifi easily and is easy to use with the iPhone app. I like the night vision, it works very well. also appreciate the ability to rotate the camera. I'm reviewing the Black, ReoLink 2k security Camera (Wireless, Outdoor, PTZ, Solar). Up until now we've only had experience with indoor cameras (mainly for watching the kids, but also for security purposes). Most cameras I've worked with only work on 2.4GHz so the fact this worked with 2.4 & 5GHz was kind of cool. During my research I was actually searching for a cheaper option; most indoor cameras are $50 or so and $160 was more than I'd planned on spending. However, every review (outside Amazon) pointed to Reolink being the best option for people who don't want to pay monthly subscription fees. So, I decided on this. I'm glad I did. The setup was difficult- not because of Reolink but because of where I wanted the camera placed. I may or may not have almost fallen off the roof, but no matter, installation was successful and setup of the Reolink outdoor camera/the solar panel was a breeze. Setup with wifi/the app the night before will be easy for anyone who's setup wifi with a smart device/light bulb etc before. There is a cool feature that tracks how much footage (live and recorded) has been viewed to show where the battery usage is going. I've viewed a total of 10 minutes of live footage and the battery is still at 100%. The solar panel really does it's job, because any other new wireless camera (even our doorbell camera) would be down to at least 90% after that much live viewing time. Kudos to the power of the solar panel. It works. The camera quality is the best I've seen on any of my cameras. The colors are extremely clear and, if you don't want color, then you can change it to black and white mode. I wish I had added a screenshot of the camera during the day, because any night footage will be blurier than day footage. Don't let it fool you- the image is very clear. The motion sensing seems to be accurate. I haven't had it long enough to give this category the best review, but my neighbor walked across the street to check their mail and the camera was able to distinguish it from a car. So I'd say that's a good thing since I'd turned off the vehicle notifications. Keep in mind the camera has only been setup for 1 full day and 1 full night, so this isn't a review after having it for months. However, I'll follow up in 6 months with a more accurate review. The only thing I didn't like about it is that the price dropped $30 the day after we received it :( buy it now while it's $130. Incredible deal. I gave this product 4 stars since it did not come with a MicroSD card (they're so cheap nowadays, not sure why they wouldn't include even a low GB one). Every company/product has something to upsell and Reolink is no different. ***Friendly reminder, insert the formatted SD Card BEFORE placing the camera so that you don't have to get on the roof again hours later to install it. This didn't stop me from getting motion notifications, but did prevent me from seeing the Playbacks. So, don't forget! ******3 month update. No changes to the above review. Very good camera. I’ve yet to see the battery drop below 100% (even through snow & cloudy days). Purchasing another for the backyard. ... show more

Updated Review, Shortly after writing my original review, Reolink emailed me and asked me how they could fix my issue. They were very receptive to my complaint. They offered to send me a new solar camera, which I had decided against getting another one. They then asked me if I would like to have them send me a different camera, they gave me two options. I was very pleased with that and chose the outdoor wifi security camera. This camera is a very good camera. Reolink has proven to me that they are committed to customer satisfaction. I would recommend them to anyone that needs a good security camera. I have updated my review to 5 stars because of the great customer service. I bought my first Reolink camera around 7 years ago and it is still working fine. I have 11 cameras now and am pleased with them. I still can’t say I would want a solar one just because I need my cameras to work well at a distance of 200-300 feet and I not sure the solar camera can do that. Original review: I have several Reolink cameras, this is the first solar I have purchased. The first one I received did not work, they replaced it. This one is not as good as the Reolink you plug into electricity. It does not stay connected to internet, constantly goes off. I can only use it if it’s less than 100’ from the router and it sometimes drops internet then also. It does not follow motion either. Very disappointed in this camera. Reolink has been my go to camera for 4 years, but I won’t buy another solar camera from them. ... show more

better cameras out there, dont be fooled by all the ads. These things are buggy as hell. Ultimately the only solution customer support can offer is to return it, which i did, twice. Spent days trying to get this thing to stay connected, when I put that camera in its final position, it would disconnect at random times, sometimes in the middle of the night, then a beep and start up languages would come thru the built in speaker,,,,OUTSIDE so my neighbors could hear it. Again, climbed a ladder, retrieved it, brought it back inside, restarted, reset, scanned the QR ,,,and set it inside for a day,,,worked fine, put it outside even closer to my router, and presto, same stuff, disconnected, beep sounds, languages for start up...so I found that glass was this cameras kryptonite, it dont like it. Which is pretty pathetic since it works thru plywood when I put it down stairs on my work bench. But installing it outside, fully charged, fully reset, fully working.....bammm, disconnect. Get another camera, anything but this piece of garbage. WYZE camera was my choice and has been working flawlessly for a week, easy setup, good features with pan and track....and far cheaper. ... show more
