I did have to sent this camera back as we only had 1.5 bars of service so we could not connect. The camera was very easy to set up at home and my wife and I were pumped to get it up and running for added security at my remote camp site. No fault of the camera for not working, it's just the way it goes when you're off the grid. I'd buy it again if I had a need with better service. We did punches the EOIT 24GB card as well.     • Highly functional security camera at a decent price point
If you're looking for a reasonably priced security camera that works great and has a ton of features, Reolink is a name to keep an eye out for. They make cameras at every price point but I've been most impressed with their lower to mid range products. These cameras are typically sold at a very reasonable price but extremely functional for most use cases. That's what we've got here. This is a 4G LTE powered camera that uses a solar panel to keep the battery powered up. You've probably figured out that this combination makes it great for keeping an eye on a remote area that might be 'off the grid'. That's what I use it for--I've got some undeveloped property in the middle of nowhere and even though nothing ever happens there I want to be able to eyeball the situation if something *should* happen. This camera is perfect for that. Image and video quality is excellent--even at night. It has the same alert/shape detection functionality you find in many cameras but Reolink's actually works. You haven't lived until you receive an 'intruder alert' for a raccoon milling about your property but Reolink's platform makes it a thing of the past. You can pan and tilt to keep an eye on things or you can set up preset points to monitor specific areas. I highly recommend using Reolink's Cloud Storage which not only saves you the time and hassle of dealing with it yourself but gives you better functionality to search for footage, etc. Solid camera with the solar panel included--all at a reasonable price point. My camera was received and set up, I had a problem connecting my app to the camera. Called Customer Service which had me try several different things and immediately set me to Warranty Service. I had a new camera in two days working awesome. Have recommend to three others and will be buying another for my winter home.     • Easy install… great for use on vacant homes
We use these on homes we are renovating. It provides great security and helps keep the squatters out. Great for use on vacant homes. It was easy to install and setup. We used the T-Mobile network SIM card ($20 a month) and always have a good connection. This camera was ripped off and stolen by the homeless in the area. We ended up purchasing a second one to replace the stolen one because it works great. Just make sure to put it somewhere it is difficult for people to reach. Our second camera sits high on the side of our chimney now. The angle presets are convenient and have been useful. We also like that it notifies us if it’s a vehicle or a person. I bought two of these cameras and after weeks dealing with customer support neither camera ever worked as promised. They both were very unreliable and constantly had "failed connection" issues. Customer support was horrible and unable to improve the situation. In the future I will never buy anything from this manufacturer. ... show more

This 4G outdoor security camera is awesome! The device itself feels very well made and doesn't feel or look cheap. The overall design is also very nice and the mounting plates and screws feel strong and sturdy when installed correctly. The camera itself is very easy to setup and the app does a great job walking you through the process - even with the 4G connectivity. Just to note, I am using this on T-Mobile's 4G Network with a 2GB prepaid data sim. Through my use, I found this amount of data was just fine - this will depend on how much you use it and of course, will vary. The image quality is very good in my opinion and what you would expect at this price point. The night vision works pretty well for up close objects and of course gets worse as you go further away, but that is to be expected. The videos and images are stored on the sdcard (included). The extra wide field of view is amazing and it works very well. I love being able to see the "full picture". This is part is seriously a game changer, if you ask me. This camera is completely wireless and can be mounted almost anywhere - as long as you have a 4G signal in the area. This does have a built in rechargeable battery which will need fully charged before mounting. I can say I have had this mounted outside for about a few weeks now and have not had to bring it in to recharge. In fact, it is still showing pretty good battery life left but this all depends on how much you access it and how much activity there is for it to trigger. The included solar panel also really helps with this. The motion detection is really good on this and after a few tests I found it able to detect movement pretty well. This camera has built in AI and during my initial use, it is doing a good job differentiating between cars, people, and packages. The app is very nicely setup and is very easy to use and figure out. In fact, I really like their app compared to other security camera companies. You can download the photos/videos to your phone/tablet and have access to all the settings of the camera. This can be done anywhere you have an internet connection. All things considered, this is a great outdoor security camera with good image quality and other features that really add to the security experience. I love that they combined the ultra wide field of view with 4G connectivity. While it is more expensive than most, in my opinion, it is well worth it to have constant 4G access to the internet. ... show more

This camera and solar panel was installed on a remote shed on our property that is about 150 feet from the main house and wifi access and the signal strength is good. The camera is responsive to commands to pan around and zoom in. The auto focus works ok but sometimes it is necessary to manually focus after zooming. The app has a feature to do so. The picture is good both day and night. No issues with having enough power from the built in battery. ... show more
