Tall, low, white light. I used the plantar and filled It with two bags of pond stones and the lamp stayed put during the windstorm we Got in Maryland. Has lit every night even in overcast skies and short winter days. Company has outstanding customer Service and they price matched the lamp when I found it online for a lower price. Plantar is not very sturdy so take lots of care when assembling. You MUST fill the plantar with rocks, cement or dirt or it will toe over. Gives a low, white light. Not as bright as my neighbors electric wired light but just as beautiful. Easy to assemble and if you read the directions You should have no issue. I light the light heads sit in sun for two days before I turned it on but this was in January in short days. Black and white photo is from my security camera. Notice my light doesn’t interfere with the camera. The ball of light to the right is my neighbors electric wires lamp. Update: a year later and I love this lamp. It has lit every single night regardless of no sun days, snow or whatever. Light is not as bright in the winter but ok for my small walkway to my front door. This year I will adorn it with flowers and hanging plants. It took a tumble in a strong wind gust we had but survived with little to no scratches. It is sturdy! ... show more

I like the way it looks other than we were missing one wing nut and another was broken. I spent so much time trying to find nuts that would fit. Since we could not find two that fit correctly now one light is crooked....so frustrating

Update: I came back to change my review. I called the company and they sent me a brand new light. It works amazing and it’s super classy. We live in the city so this light post became the perfect way for us to dress up the front of our house without eating up space. Our neighbors always comment on how nice it looks. Super happy with my purchase. I thought things were going great because it came earlier than expected. I had been wanting to buy this for a few weeks. I finally bought it only for it to arrive damaged. One of the glass panels on my lantern is shattered. I’m super bummed. ... show more

I have had the same type of lamp for the past 6 years. One of the lanterns came loose from a storm and the wires were severed and irreparable, so I decided to replace the whole lamppost. This lamppost is inferior to the one I had, very lightweight and not nearly as sturdy. I don't think I will get 6 years out of this one and will be lucky to get a year. I had already discarded the box because it was recycle day in my neighborhood. I put the lamp together a few days later, so at this point I can't return it and it is all set up in my garden. The screws did not fit properly and the lanterns do not stay tightened. Very disappointed in the lack of quality of this lamppost and it is not worth buying. ... show more

This was easy to assemble. There was one lantern where the inside plastic lense had a small part broken during shipping and would not have worked. I let Amazon know and they contacted the seller. Immediately they responded to me, discovered exactly what needed replacing and immediately sent it out to me. These tend to be top heavy, if putting these on ground like patio or garden i recommend burying the planter to ensure a sturdiness.
