This is a perfect cover for your reMarkable 2. The Leather feels nice, and the cover has a nice stiffness to it. Very thin so does not add a lot of additional thickness to your device. The case is just a tad larger than the reMarkable 2 so there is a bit of protection to the sides, but I really just wanted something to protect the screen, and this does that well. Easily folds underneath the device so it's out of the way when you are writing. I'm left-handed and with the case opened and folded the spine has no effect on using the reMarkable 2. The cover is lightweight and has a magnetic spine and holds your screen well, I haven't had any issues with it the two separating unless I want them to. I've had a Remarkable 2 for about a year now, and I've dallied with a handful of cases. Some good, some not so good. I've even had a case that looks just like this one in pictures. I thought "why spend the money on the Remarkable case?" Then I had the opportunity to pick up this case for review. And I can say, don't judge a cover by its photos. It is a different level of case than the third party cases out there. Those cases are something soft, likely cardboard, laminated in fabric. The Remarkable case is a thin poly sheet, or something equally hard and protective. You can tap it and hear it resonate. The third party cases have a magnetic attachment, but it's not as strong as the Remarkable case. And the third party cases are thin, but the Remarkable case is thinner. It's four stars instead of five because the price is still quite high. I get it, it's a luxury product targeted at luxury people, and I'm maybe some schlub who has crashed the party. But it is a really good case. If you have a $20-$30 case and like it, great. If you want the thinnest folio with a hard shell of protection, you might want the official Remarkable case. ... show more

Like another reviewer, based on the price and description, which upon another reread is vague, I thought I was getting the device with a cover. The cover is a nice fabric exterior with a magnetic closure. How well it works with the device, I can't say because I don't have one. But the value is not there for what you receive. Due to this item's description being about the actual reMarkable tablet and high (>$100) price, I believed the product was an actual tablet. However, I just received a case for a reMarkable tablet. Don't buy this, it's not worth it. You're only going to get a case which should not be $140 (you can almost buy a refurbished iPad for that price!) This cover is probably the last one you'll put on your reMarkable 2. It's outright amazing. The leather quality is flawless. The magnetic attachment is strong and cannot be messed up. The feeling I get is like Apple was a boutique company putting out ridiculously high end products that are intentionally a level above mass market. . . Writing that kind of gives me early Apple flashbacks. This changes everything, I guess. But I digress. This is very high quality. I agree with others that it's pricey, but it's less costly if you bundle it with the original purchase. I see this as a perquisite or gift for the person who has everything. It screams "you nailed that project" or "Happy mother/father's day!" Anyone can buy it for themselves if they feel like splurging, but for in the thoughtful gift department I think this will be a homerun. Lots of people will want it but be unwilling/unable to get it for themselves. Being gifted something like this becomes a reminder of the thought and generosity every time you touch it. ... show more

The first thing I'd call out about this is the high quality. It is very well made and fits the reMarkable Book perfectly. It looks sleak and from the time I've had it has held up very well. It's clearly built with a lot of attention to detail. It's light weight and keeps the easy to handle. I provide all of this context to showcase how nice this product is but it all comes with one caveat... Price. I remove one star simply for the price. This reMarkable Premium Leather folio fits the reMarkable 2 perfectly. I have the grey version as well, but wanted to try out the leather option to look more professional. I thought this might be more susceptible to damage or might not be as sturdy, but it feels just as sturdy as the grey book folio cover. The leather feels soft and durable and looks great. You probably still need to be careful around liquids and sharp objects though. Glad I got the leather folio! ... show more
