UPDATE NUMBER 2: THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE BEST I’VE EVER EXPERIENCED! The camera is solid and works great. The key to this camera is getting the correct SD card. IF YOU DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THE SPECIFIC DIRECTIONS ON WHICH SD CARD TO PURCHASE FOR THIS CAMERA, IT WILL NOT WORK AS EXPECTED!!! I do wish the accessories were better, but after talking to customer service extensively, I realize the accessories have nothing to do with this camera company. I cannot recommend it enough. A simple email will show that Remali cares for their customers like no other. I have no doubt there will be improvements and options for accessories will be better in the near future. I’m so glad I talked with customer service and figured out some important issues. Top notch customer care, great product, and great price! Do not hesitate to buy this camera! Update: so far, 2 mounts have broken while mounted to my bicycle. Pictures are okay and the 1080p 60fps with image stabilization works great. The attachments are weak and break easily The quality of this camera is great. The upgrade to the Capture Cam Pro from the Capture Cam was a good decision. The video quality is great. The camera probably needs some ISO tweaking, but the quality is good. I like the touch screen and after playing with it, it’s pretty easy to figure out. I do not know the longevity of this product, but plan on finding out. My 2 cons... The battery life is horrible. I can barely get 60 minutes of power from it, but it does come with 3 batteries. The quality of the attachments is not that great. The camera fell off my bike while riding because an attachment came apart. I was able to opoxy it back together, but now I don’t trust it. Note: This review is specifically for the REMALI CapturePro camera. It does not apply to the REMALI CaptureCam, which we did not evaluate. We had two main applications: (1) To record tree work for training and other purposes, and (2) as a backup camera on a truck, to be used -- in particular -- to line up a trailer hitch with a truck's hitch ball. Here's what we found: Pro's: (1) REMALI tech support is first rate. Immediate response from knowledgeable people. Most problems solved. (2) Price. Vastly less expensive than GoPro. 1/3 the price, and a lot of bang for the buck. (3) Works adequately for recording tree work while mounted on a helmet, on a tripod, or clipped to a branch. Chainsaw noise recorded clearly. People speaking not so much (see below). (4) Three batteries! (5) Lot of extras, mainly various gadgets for mounting the camera, and a nice zippered carrying case. Con's: (1) Dependent on specific memory cards -- !!You must use U3 64Gig cards!! (we tested only the Sandisk brand). Even U3 in larger sizes causes odd behavior, such as menus that hang the camera, and failure to connect via the USB cable when attempting to download video to a laptop. Don't go with the Amazon recommendation to buy the U3 128Gig card (I'd recommend that REMALI update its software to be more robust with regard to allow a wider range of memory cards). See myproductbenefit<dot>com<slash>remali-info for additional details. (2) The Wifi video connection has too much lag to be used in real time. One application we tried to use the camera for is as a backup camera to assist in connecting a trailer hitch to a truck (see photo). With the lag, you'd think the person backing up the truck is drunk! :-) (3) The Wifi signal was not strong enough for some trucks. When the phone was moved to the truck cab, while the camera was mounted on the back of the truck, the phone lost the camera's wifi signal. Admittedly there was a lot of metal between the camera and the truck cab. (4) The REMALI DV app would not connect a phone to the camera via wifi. This was a critical feature for the trailer hitch application. REMALI tech support suggested using an alternate app, i.e., the iSmart DV2 app, which connected the phone to the camera. The next wifi issue was the lag described above. (5) Audio recording is not adequate. The camera needs a port for an external mic. This requires us to overdub tree work recordings with commentary as we are editing the video. (6) The user guide needs some serious rewriting. Excellent tech support compensated for this. (7) The protective case requires a bit of force to close. I'm waiting for the case latch to break one day. (8) When the camera is its protective shell (REMALI tech support strongly recommended always using the protective shell; did I mention the excellent REMALI tech support?), the buttons on the case need to be pressed pretty firmly. (9) The beep that tells you that the camera has started or stopped recording does not happen until *after* you release the record button, so you don't know if you have pressed the button adequately. The beep should happen once the button has been pressed, and should not require the button to be released. (10) The touchscreen does not work particularly well when the camera is in its protective shell, in particular for people with large fingertips. Overall: Mixed results for our purposes.     • Quality picture at a great price
I'm new to action cameras, but have been very pleased with the quality and ease of use of this camera. It comes with a ton of mounts and a really nice case, although I'm not quite sure what to do with most of the mounts at this point. Connected right up to my PC and was able to move and view my pictures and video in no time. Overall I'd say this is an excellent product especially at the price point. ... show more

The functionality of the unit, works great. I only had a little problem with trying to get the Wi-Fi working with the remote. I wish they had a better way of explaining how to operate it correctly. But other than that, everything looks great with the unit. I was looking for another alternative to gopro, and this unit works just fine. ... show more

The product worked terribly. Not as described. The camera battery lasts about two minutes. Even after fully charging all three batteries that came with. The accessories weren’t as described and you can’t even use the touchscreen feature.Terrible picture quality. None of the information in the title of this product is correct. I’ve never one to write reviews however, the picture quality on this is worse than my very first Camera phone and we are talking and crystal clear waters. Extremely disappointed and I was one day shy of the return window on Amazon due to a time difference in my location now and I am unable to return it.
