Bought this after seeing the positive reviews. Happy to add mine to the list. My husband and I returned from our magical Maldives honeymoon to find a truly horrible surprise waiting for us. The outlet our fridge and freezer were connected to had tripped off and there was a horribly stinky and gross mess to clean up. Melted, rotten ice cream allover the freezer, meat, veggies and fruit. Just a giant, incredibly stinky mess that took over an hour to clean up and had us gagging while laughing (to keep from crying) at the juxtaposition of waking up in paradise and coming home to this. After cleaning with all the disinfecting and deodorizing agents we had, the rotten smell lingered in the freezer still. So I bought these fridge deodorizer after reading reviews. It started to work after only a few hours. Right now the smell is gone. I’m really glad the reviews were true and I got this handled on the first try. I saw someone complained in a review about the chlorine smell of the deodorizer getting in their food. I haven’t experienced this with using it in our small 2 Cu Ft freezer and don’t smell chlorine or anything new in there at all. Just the absence of the stench. Can’t speak to how it does in a fridge in that regard. ... show more

    • It works in a matter of a few hours, or maybe less!
O. M. G... My fridge doesn't smell anymore. We'll, I had bought fridge full of veggies because of the national emergency recommendation to stay home for to this coronavirus pandemic. I'm an Asian and I love smelly veggies, to be honest, such as garlics, leeks, daikons, cabbages, onions...all veggies with strong smells and taste. The bad thing is that I live alone and it takes a while to consume those smelly veggies in my fridge... I started noticing that everytime I opened the fridge, the overwhelming odor spread allover and filled my kitchen and entire house like virus attack... I had to do something about it immediately. I couldn't go outside or leave my doors open because of the virus, but I would have been killed by this stinky odor if I stayed home. I didn't have time... Thank Amazon prime for such a quick delivery... I received this product this afternoon, like 4 pm, and it is 10 pm now, and I am alive!! The odor is gone!!! It had a faint smell of chlorine when I opened the bag, but it was a guarantee smell that it would work. And it did. So quickly!! It should last for 6 months, too! I'm so impressed!! Thank you for saving my life and house!!! The only thing... One thing... I wish it had a suction cup or something that stick to the top inner wall of the fridge... Just a suggestion for a design improvement. But it sure does it's job! ... show more

    • DID NOTHING!
I just bought a house and a new fridge, went out of town for a week and my power was shut off. Came home to rotten chicken in my freezer.... I have bleached my refrigerator multiple times, I have tried baking soda, newspaper, everything I could find on the internet. Read a few reviews of people who had similar situations to me and decided to purchase... I decided to clean out the fridge again, bleach it, then put the deodorizer in. Left it over night, came back in the morning....... it smells the same way it did before I cleaned it.... This literally did nothing..... Please tell me if I did something wrong, I am desperate for something to work! ... show more

    • This did what baking soda and cleaning couldn't
I moved into an apartment and the refrigerator smelled HORRIBLE. When I opened up the freezer, it made the entire apartment stink. I tried baking soda and it made the smell slightly better after about a day, but a day after that the stink would be back at 100%. It was so bad, I was not comfortable putting any food or drinks in there. After reading the reviews, I tried this product. I figured with a smell this bad, I better get the 2 pack and be prepared for it to take a week to resolve. I received them the day after I ordered them, and put them both in the freezer. Within 12 hours, the smell was completely gone! I don't write many reviews, but I had tell you all that if you have a stubborn stink that wont go away with cleaning and baking soda, definitely give these a try. Well worth the price! When I opened the packages, there was a slight chlorine-like smell. It wasn't overpowering and I don't smell it in the freezer, but it's worth noting. I'm thrilled with this purchase and will eagerly recommend it to any one else in a similar situation. ... show more

Our refrigerator power went out because a GFCI was tripped while we were away. When we returned, about a month later, you can imagine the mess and smell. Threw everything away, took all shelves and drawers out and commenced deep clean of interior and all components. First soap and water. Then bleach and water. Then baking soda solution. Aired it out and washed again with baking soda. Spread several plates of baking soda around entire interior and plates of fresh coffee grounds as well. Most odor gone, but still... Ordered this product and placed it on top shelf near air vent. 24 hours later, fresh as a country breeze. No chemical odor as claimed by some people here and I have a very perceptive olfactory system! Could not be more pleased. ... show more

    • If your fridge stinks-BUY THIS!
Let me preface this by saying I'm sensitive to the smell of bleach. These are truly amazing. My fridge stink, stank, stunk! My freezer smelled like Brussel Sprouts. Nothing was helping either. Hard core cleaning...baking soda...bleach! Nothing! So, I searched Amazon for "fridge stink" and came across this product. Bought it with high expectations. This has met my expectations with flying colors! All the smells are gone. It took about 2 days for the full effect, but the nasty smells are completely gone. So, "why the 4 stars instead of 5?", you may ask. Well, the fridge and freezer smell like a freshly bleached refrigerator. And, I did preface this review with "I'm sensitive to the smell of bleach." But...that slight bleach scent is far better than the stank that was there before. ... show more
