This is a really nice dash cam at a bargain price. The touch screen makes setting it up a breeze. The GPS suction cup mount is easy to use and really grips well. We did a road test with this camera on a trip to Boston from Vermont. The picture quality was superb. We also got the hardwire kit for this dash cam although we haven't had the time to install it yet. The kit includes several of the double fuse dongles allowing you to piggyback on existing fuses of different size. This model dash cam also includes a rear window mount camera. Easy to mount and includes the connecting wire to the main dash cam. We did purchase a 256GB micro SD card (the max the camera can handle) to allow for generous recording time. The kit includes a 64GB card to get you started if you don't want or need to have longer recording capacity. I would not hesitate to recommend this camera to any motorist. To get a double camera dash cam kit along with the hardwire kit for under $160 is a steal. We love this so much we will be ordering another kit for our second car. Very cheap insurance in the event of an accident. Oh, and the smartphone app is easy to use and works well. What else could you ask for? ... show more

I just had this dash camera hardwire installed. The hardest part was selecting which fuse to use. The cable included for the rear camera was more than enough for my 2020 Explorer. Connecting the mobile app to the camera was straightforward and easy. Still learning/playing with the videos and downloading them. My rear window is tinted and the image is still very clear. Good little camera. Doesn’t take up a lot of room. Very easy to set up. I would have given it 5 stars, but the built in WiFi doesn’t work with Apple play. You have to disable car play to use the WiFi. If WiFi isn’t a big deal, leave it off to use car play. You’ll just have to pull the SD card and download on a computer, which may be faster.     • This is a GREAT system!
I have wanted to add a camera to my vehicle for some time. I have a 2011 Chevy Tahoe and it didn't have an OEM camera system installed. Adding this camera was physically very easy and the included "crowbar" made it easy to run the wiring from the rear to the front and to hide the wiring at the front as well. There is enough wiring included that there is almost 2 feet of slack after installation. I would recommend that one adds a little extra at the front and rear to allow for the rear window to open separately if the vehicle is so equipped. The cameras are both mounted inside the vehicle so they should last a long time. I would like to give a large shout of appreciation to Jerry, whose customer service was excellent and prompt. The rear camera failed after a day and he was very helpful in suggesting troubleshooting tips and in sending a replacement immediately. IF you are looking for a good camera system for your vehicle this is a good unit. I will recommend it to anyone who asks! ... show more

*Update* While my review was at first negative, REDTIGER reached out to me to ask more questions about my issue and provided amazing feedback and possible solutions. When those didn’t work they offered to replace the camera and even after checked up on me to ask how it was working. Overall the help I received was amazing and the replacement camera is doing great. The video quality of the camera was nice and the set up was easy but after literally only two weeks, it suddenly stopped working and was just a static screen. I tried disconnecting and turning it off and messing with some controls but it wouldn’t go back to normal. ... show more

    • NOT DESIGNED FOR HIGH TEMPERATURES
I will start by saying , that this Dash Camera works as advertised. The display menus are very simple and easy to follow. The App works great on my IPhone 11 and the Camera is deserving of 5 Stars. The only downside and problem I discovered. That made me give it a 3 Star rating is that. The camera started acting weird in the sense that it kept loosing the WIFI connection , even when done several times. One of the reasons I discovered is that here in south texas in April and May that I had it. The temperatures have been well over 100+ and inside the truck well over 300+. The Camera’s electronics were just Fried with the High Temperatures. The display still works but I can’t get it to hook up with the cameras WIFI connection because of that. The only thing you and I can do in the future is to disconnect the camera when the vehicle is not in use and it’s out in the sunlight but what’s the purpose of removing it , when it should be able to film a break in by a thief. The $170+ price tag is just too much for a device that will only last you about 30 days. Just a suggestion that if you buy the camera just unplug and remove it when you park in direct sunlight. Other than that it’s a good camera but everything electronic like this will eventually fail with the vehicles high temperatures. It’s up to you to decide. ... show more
