  • Ham Radio Field Day
Style: 12.8V 100AH
I used this battery to power a Yaesu Ft-101 during Ham Radio Field Day in 100 degree heat. The battery worked great! No overheating due to the ambient temperatures and a heck of a lot lighter than it's FLA counterpart. I kept the battery charged using a Renogy 40A Solar Charge controller and power output went through a 1500W sine wave inverter... Zero noise through the radio receiver, constant voltage, and it worked from sun up to sun down. ... show more

  • High Tech at its best!
Style: 12.8V 100AH
I just purchased my 4th Redodo LiFePO4 100ah battery to complete my battery bank for my solar project. I realize that installing all 4 would have been preferable, however, my budget did not allow that option. My first encounter with LiFePO4 batteries was purchasing a 50ah to power my electronics independently on my boat. I fish exclusively at night for blues to stock the freezer. That means having absolutely dependable power for lights and Finder/Plotter is a must. These batteries are stupid light (you can literally hold one at arm's length on the palm of your hand), quick to recharge, last 3 to 4 times longer than sealed gel batteries and can be fully discharged (if that's possible) without any damage. BTW, they are packaged as if they were going to be delivered by falling from a chopper. Finally, the CSR's are top notch. ... show more

Style: 12.8V 100AH Group24
The media could not be loaded. Packaging for item is robust, no worries about damage during transit. Redodo makes a solid product. This is my 2nd battery from them and they work just as well as the over priced ones. Great deal for the money, love the smaller footprint of the group 24 100ah vs standard 100ah battery. ... show more

  • Absolutely Shocked....and amazed at the level of customer service I have experienced.
Style: 12.8V 100AH Low Temp
I purchased (2) of these batteries to wire in series and incorporate into my modest Solar system. 1st, so far very impressed with the product. Of course, time will make things clearer as to the quality and dependability but I feel very confident these batteries will serve my needs very well. NOW..... I'm old school, back when customer service was a priority. Those days seem to have just become a memory based on the many purchases and transactions of latter days. Well, not with Redodo. I was lucky enough to experience some of the best, if not the best customer service dealing with Tina. Quick replies to my emails, answers to all my questions and very informative, helpful and professional correspondence each time. Since dealing with Tina, I have a "cart full" of Redodo products and I'm confident in moving forward with purchasing those items. Pretty much have based this review on customer service alone at this point but honestly that's at least 50% of importance of purchasing anything. So far, very happy and feel very confident in moving forward with many purchases from Redodo. Thanks Tina! You're a Champion! ... show more

  • Battery bank using 100AH Zooms doing well so far
Style: 12.8V 100AH
Updated FIRST of all -- As to the 4 stars. I'm a longevity test person. I haven't had the batteries long enough to ascertain whether they will have good longevity, so I'll revisit this review and update it. Short term, after a few weeks, I can say they are FIVE STAR! Zooms was EXTREMELY responsive, and we had several e-mails back and forth. I have to give them HUGE kudos for that. Be sure you understand you are NOT speaking to native English speakers so have patience. They do really well, but you have to be persistent to ensure you understand each other properly. I originally purchased two 100AH batteries I first tested separately. One definitely performed better than the other. However, that said, I noticed they both improved after subsequent charges from an AC to DC LiFePO4 designated charger. Once I was satisfied with the performance of the batteries -- after one full load test to inverter shutdown -- I then charged back up and put the batteries in parallel and connect to my solar MPPT charge controller. Here is where selecting a good quality MPPT controller and pure sine wave inverter also helps. After several days of usage and solar charging I accidently ran the battery bank down to inverter cutoff (not BMS cutoff) on a cloudy day. I did the math on the watts I drew and believe it was full or close to what I could expect considering the very low incoming charge. I got slightly over 2,560 watts over 16 hours. That's the total 1280 * 2. I expect some loss to the inverter and some gain from the panels despite overcast. I considered that a wash. Since I am fairly new to this level of solar, I've done a LOT of research, but am by no means an expert. I can only say thus far these batteries have been awesome. They're so light I can handle them without killing myself. I could NEVER haul around 100AH Lead Acid batteries. I did research and followed instructions carefully to parallel the batteries with 2AWG same size/length cables after fully charging both and letting them rest for 12-24 hours before joining. They were at 13.74 and 13.76 volts. First few charges they did NOT hold that high for 12+ hours. I can only presume it was part of equalizing across the cells. If someone knows otherwise, please post. There is a guy on YouTube that does a chop it up check on this battery and claims it's the same as CHINS but does only a little testing (my apologies for first saying none). It was interesting, but I hardly consider that doing due diligence to be helpful to your viewing audience. This is new to many of us so more in-depth testing would have been MUCH more useful. Just because something looks similar doesn't mean it will perform the same. On top of that I know nothing about whether CHINS are any good. Don't get me wrong good guy and apparently provides tons of good info. Zooms packs their batteries in truly superior manner. TWO of my box corners got badly dinged in transport, so I was worried about the batteries. However, the THICK heavy foam they pack around the top, bottom, and sides of the base and lid so the battery is like it's floating in there do a wonderful job protecting the battery. You'd think shippers would be a bit more careful with batteries, but I understand their volume is tremendous. Check yours out carefully if box is bashed up. So, if you're in the market for one of these the only warning is they do NOT contain LOW TEMP charge/discharge cutoff. You can get a Charge Controller that can take care of that if your location goes below freezing. One other item I noticed is my first shipment had the wrong load/charge location (a middle battery in a 4-battery bank) in the manual. I did my own research and figured that out connections should be on the end batteries -- one end positive and the opposite battery negative -- check the diagram provided if this is not clear. I then check the newer manual and saw they'd corrected it. There is a LOT of bad information online about where to put the load(inverter)/charge connections on battery banks. I can't speak to anything larger than 4 batteries as that's the most I researched. Zooms allows you to set up 2 banks of 4 batteries in parallel and then join the banks in series for a max -- so if you need more energy storage you may need to get the 200AH batteries to start -- but consider how much they weigh as well. I hope this info helps others. I've learned a lot and still have more to go, but thanks to some good responses from vendors I my solar journey has been positive! ... show more

  • Really impressed
Style: 12.8V 100AH Group24
Got this to power my Watersnake trolling motor (34 lb). After a few days boating, I’m really impressed. Easily lasts all day as we move between spots to fish. Like the weight -about half that of a lead acid battery. And the price is great for the Li battery market
