My neighbor's 8-year-old granddaughter got a keyboard for Christmas and sometimes comes over to sit with my 86-year-old mom who has dementia. These cheat sheets fit well over the keys on our piano. While playing they may stick and creep up on the black keys. They did not inhibit the movement of the keys though. If you are taking lessons, I don't think they are real useful because you should be learning to read the sheet music and shouldn't need them. They can become a crutch. But if you don't have an instructor, these can help you to to decipher the sheet music and pick something out. They come in three pieces so it isn't one big awkward chain. These key guides fit my full sized keyboard well, although the notes don't expand to the edges of my keyboard on one end, and overlap on the other. I supposed I could cut the end of one end and move it over, but it seems weird they the guide didn't line up.
