  • I'm not into BMX but this bike is very nice for the price and for a 9yr old
Easy setup, pretty much is assembled out of the box... Packaging was good to keep the bike scratch free through shipping which is what I was nervous about.. although it's a bike for a 9yr old so it's going to get abused. My son is just a bit small for the bike I think he's at the 58-60inch range, he can manage the bike just fine with the handle bars just slightly back without looking weird. The handbrake is long (gap between handlebar grip and start of brake handle) for his smaller hands to engage so I am in the process of adjusting and tweaking. Chain came super tight and the back bolt are fused on by ironman's blasters or something.. so I've gotta adjust the tension probably.. totally happy with the quality and value of the bike. ... show more

  • Lightweight and durable bmx
Color: Blue
I like that the bike was the right size and weight for me to get back into dirt jumping again at 42 but ont the negative side it can be hard to get up to speed quickly...I had to upgrade the inner tubes the first day but after that I was flying of jumps with ease once again. I picked up mine for 200 and am so happy I saved a few bucks on the "used" version. Love the exercise I get from bmx and this one is a great choice if you're interested...ignore the naysayers and buy one. ... show more

  • Very nice, son loves it!
Easy to assemble, and comes with allen wrenches and a open end wrench for assembly. You will need a Phillips screwdriver for the chain guard installation. A pair of 13mm wrenches are needed to adjust tighten the seat if loose. This bike looks awesome, and my son loves it! Wish I had one when I was a kid! There's only one thing left and that to see the durability over time. ... show more

  • Don't even try it.
Okay let's get this one thing out of the way. Yes this is the coolest entry-level cheap BMX bike around. But absolutely don't even think about putting it together yourself. This bike is a USA product assembled in China. Those people at the Redline company totally failed to communicate with the Chinese about how to assemble it. As a result, the poor Chinese have ruined almost every one of these bikes before they even put them into the box for shipment. Apparently nobody told the Chinese that the bearings MUST be adjusted properly or they will destroy themselves quickly. For example, and I knew this would probably happen too, the crank bearings were so tight that if I would have rode the bike that way, I would have had to replace the whole crank in a couple of weeks. Even if you knew that would happen, you don't have the specialized tools to deal with it. The front wheel bearings were too tight as well. The Chinese are not going to adjust anything like that, the bikes are coming down the assembly line too fast for that. And again, who tried to communicate anything like that to the Chinese? Because not only do the Chinese speak a different language, but they think differently. Also the back wheel was so far out of position and the chain so tight, that it was just a big mess. And you would NEVER be able to get those nuts loose to adjust the wheel. This is such a nice bike, seriously, but unless you are a bicycle mechanic, please take it all to a bike shop and have them put it together. Tell them to be sure to adjust all the bearings and everything else. Update: Even the bike shops could be reluctant to spend the amount of time needed to get the bearings and everything adjusted perfectly. But that MUST be done. Especially because there are no precision parts on this bike, not for $200. All the parts ARE heavy-duty though. You can do high jumps with this bike and it won't break. But if you have the tools, and the smarts, go ahead and adjust things yourself. ... show more

  • Quality control sucks
Color: Blue
Beautiful bike, to expensive to be missing screws.

  • Well built bike
I bought this as a Amazon Warehouse deal and it ended up costing me somewhere around $100. It was a little banged up but nothing too bad. The bike is well made and easily worth the retail price. Just make sure you assemble it properly, it's easy if you have tools and some mechanical abilities.

  • Great bike!
Color: Blue
I purchased 2 of these and they are perfect for my 14 yo's. Going to buy another for my 11 yo because he loves his brother's. Bike won't disappoint. Just like anything, do standard maintenance and it'll last a long time.
