It took me roughly 6 hours to complete the construction (with some breaks). It's very beautiful and sturdy. However, PLEASE be careful if you try to move it after setting it up completely (with mattress etc). The side boards on the headboard broke when I tried to slide the bed a few inches. Love this bed. Bought it for my in laws. Easy to put together and excellent directions. End product came out excellent. Suggest get some additional wood glue as the two packets was not enough to dap the dowels for secure hold. Quite the puzzle to put together. But once it's together it looks great. The headboard doors rattle. It is the most annoying thing in the world to have your bed rattle every time you move!
