  • Better than expected
Size Name: 2.5" Style: 5-in-1
I originally was dissapointed with this tool when it arrived as it seemed flimsy compared to the products I found at the box stores for similar price but once I started using it I found that it's light weight and flexibility made it more versatile than I had expected. I've been very happy with it and it has become one of my go-to tools when doing any painting project. ... show more

  • Great Flexible Putty Knife was Just What I Needed
Size Name: 1.5" Style: Flex
I don't really "love" this putty knife...who "loves" a putty knife? But I wanted to give it the highest rating possible, so I clicked on the star that says, "I love it!" Now, getting down to brass tacks, I wanted a lightweight putty knife and I wanted it to be flexible because I'm working with Balsa wood that can easily be damaged by something too inflexible. This putty knife is just right and has the perfect amount of "give" necessary for the job - applying wood putty to gaps or holes. It's easy to clean up, partly because it's just a good putty knife with a nice smooth surface, and also because I'm using a water soluble wood putty that makes it easy to clean up. I wouldn't recommend this for use with very hard woods, or even with pine which is relatively soft compared to other woods, but hard compared to Balsa. If you really need to pack in the putty, go for something heavier, but this is great for the job for which I bought it. I highly recommend it and I do like it a lot. ... show more

  • Good putty knife.
Size Name: 1.5" Style: Flex
I need to patch some small cracks in my interior walls. I needed a putty knife that was flexible but not too flexible so I could apply some pressure and push the patch deep into the cracks. This tool fit the bill perfectly, flexible so it conforms to the texture of my walls, yet stiff enough to push the patch into the cracks. I used the tool a few times, wiped it off and it has been sitting on my work bench for a few months and it still looks new with no rust. I am very satisfied with this tool. ... show more

  • Great little tool with tons of uses
Size Name: 2.5" Style: 5-in-1
This little guy has been used to death during renovations on my house. Few things I've used it for: 1) Cutting away caulk when removing molding 2) Helping to pry molding off the wall 3) Removing some kind of glue some idiot had applied to the bottom exterior edge of the bathtub. Still don't know why it was there. 4) Putty knife 5) Opening paint cans etc... Really please with this so far. It's flexible, but doesn't look like it's going to break or snap anytime soon. Cleans up nice and the sharp edge has remained sharp. ... show more

  • Strong, flexible putty knife at a great price
Size Name: 1.5" Style: Flex
This putty knife is great for the price. I've been using it to remove old caulk from my house's exterior windows and trim. It's strong, flexible, and thin enough to fit behind trim that is relatively tight against the house. I also have a cheap plastic putty knife and it's weaker, less flexible, and thicker; worse in all ways except price. As some of the other reviewers have mentioned, it comes with a sticker on the face of the blade. I removed it using some rubbing alcohol. It removed the paper sticker entirely, though there's a little clear residue left over from the adhesive. I'm sure it could be removed with a little more effort, but I don't think it's a problem, so I haven't bothered. ... show more

  • Questionable quality control
Size Name: 1.5" Style: Flex
This putty knife arrived with a jagged front edge. Because I didn't want to wait for a replacement, I spent about a half hour filing the edge down before it was smooth enough to apply wood putty evenly. This putty knife should not have passed quality control.

  • Good to have for small DIY, but overall thinner and cheaper than expected.
Size Name: 2.5" Style: 5-in-1
Metal is thinner than I expected, and overall it feels a bit cheap. Sharp point on one side already is bent out of shape from scraping paint. Wasn't expecting the strength of steel given the low price, bit was expecting better quality overall. Not bad just to have in the toolbox for a occasional DIY around the house, but not sure if it's strong enough for professional contractors. Will check out Home Depot's selection the next time I go to the store. ... show more

  • Hard to clean blood off of...
Size Name: 1.5" Style: Flex
The blade appears to be stamped out of sheet metal and has jagged burrs along the sides. Be prepared to spend some time smoothing the edges with a whetting stone, or else have bandages on hand (pun intended).
