This is very durable stuff. I waterproofed one of my two using boiled linseed oil and gum spirits. I'm sure its longevity will outlast my own. Just know that it is a drop cloth and not something to be used for lage-scale artwork or clothing. The reason being that it has a seam going up the middle. This presents no problems whatsoever for its intended/advertised use. I don't understand why some reviewer are so stingy with their star rating. My rating here has nothing to do with whether I've enjoyed my purchase. It has everything to do with me getting the product that was described here. Wow, something listed for one purpose has many. So we have bought several of these in different sizes. And I want the buyer to know, many uses. 1) We bought several to use as outside privacy curtains for pur front porch. We had 2 neighbors that were super nosey. One would even sit in the road so he could watch us as we went about and see in our windows. So we put these up around the porch as curtains. They are beautiful and work Excellent as outside curtains. They look like they were made for it. 2) We live in a studio cottage. So super small 1 room. We needed a curtain to be a room divider. Curtains are very costly, room dividers more so. We bought some hoops here on Amazon and painted a PVC pipe black and bought curtain hooks here and used these as a room divider. A word of caution. Matter what you think you can deal with WASH these before in house use. They are soaked in a chemical to protect during shipment so they have a smell and even seemed to cause a headache. After we washed them 100% okay. They did srink in washing a bit (do not dry in dryer, hang to dry. Again if you put in dryer they will misshapen.) So just washing and hang dry they kept their shape, even though they srunk by anout 2 inches square. But as a curtain they look great. We do plan to purchase more to use outside for privacy. I have been using these drop cloths for a couple of weeks doing a drywall replacement job. I was skeptical when I ordered these as to their durability. When I received the order, I was pleasantly surprised as to the weight of these drop cloths (heavier is good!). These drop cloths have held up to being moved, folded, shook out, removing globs of drywall mud (which I let dry before removing) and being put back in place. The size of these make them incredibly useful as I'm working on hallways that are three feet wide. I have other drop cloths, and I ordered these as I did not have enough of this width. As far as I'm concerned, this is an incredible value. If I ever wear these out, I will surely re-order these cloths. ... show more

This drop cloth can be used for so many more things besides sopping up paint! I have several of them that I use to protect my blueberry bushes from late freezes. I got these just in time to protect my plants this year and they performed perfectly. These mostly cotton fiber drop cloths are as described and usable for protecting floor and furniture from painting with rollers and spray guns. As a weaver I noticed that this fiber was a mix of many things including small bits of feathers and seeds. The finished cloth was washed but had a strong chemical odor I could not identify. None of these attributes should matter if used as drop cloths. I would not recommend using these for covers on furniture that people or pets might use as the chemical aroma is rather strong and not pleasant to be near. After just a brief sniff our little Furry Babes would not go near these even after washing 2xs. ... show more
