The last automatic Microsoft Windows update hosed up my old Dell XPS desktop computer. I could login but nothing would load, explorer would hang and I couldn’t get to System + Settings to rollback the update. Frustrating! I needed to boot up from DVD so I could do a Windows repair, but I recently moved and could not find my boot DVD anywhere. So I did some research on this item, and based on other customer reviews I decided to take a chance and order it. The DVD arrived the next day, I followed the instructions, and it worked perfectly!!! I was able to change my boot settings to boot off of the DVD and it allowed to go into repair mode and run the Windows repair process. When the PC rebooted, everything is back to normal. My desk top computer overheaded and quit a few months ago and it wouldn't boot because it said it had no operating system. I picked up a new hard drive and no go but ordered this disk a couple of days ago and Amazon put it in my mailbox Sunday. got it out and put it in the computer this morning and it booted the computer right up and walked me through installing windows and the thing works great. I purchased a computer on ebay a year ago and 2 months later it stopped working. Fast forward almost a year, and I tried this after figuring out a few things. It restored my computer to work again and I can now use it again for gaming and work.. Super happy!

    • That you need your key...
I put the disk in my computer and it started loading...but here the problem it asks you for to fill in your computer ID KEY...and if never got or had the time or lost the box with the key of that computer...you might as well throw the disk away..oh sure they'll sell you one of there's KEY for 40 big ones what a bomber...so my opinion is if you haven't already written down your computer ID Key do it now before it too late.... ... show more
