I wasn't sure what I was getting but I received one hearing aid which is all that I need. My right ear is the one that has hearing loss, so this worked out. I have an old replacement battery powered unit that I have been using but the inconvenience of keeping batteries with me was a pain. love that this one is rechargeable. It does an excellent job of amplifying sounds, but also has background noise that might be an issue for some people. There is one piece of hearing aid included which can be used for either left for right side. It is basically in the shape of a conventional hearing aid with the earplug part for voice collection and the ear piece for amplification and return with bone conduction. The sound quality is pretty good with suppression on the white noise. The earplug is soft that comfortable to wear and easy to clean with a brush provided.
