These hearing aids look like the real deal! They are small and compact, fitting in your ear discretely. There are three modes that you can easily switch through using the bottom of the charging case to help you adjust the hearing aids. The case is small and portable, allowing you to take it with you wherever you go. The volume control on the units is easy to access and control by twisting the dial. The hearing aids created loud buzzing sounds at first but simply adjusting the volume down on the unit allowed me to adjust the volume to make the loud noise go away. These hearing aids are rechargeable. Placing them inside of the sharing case charges the hearing aids. The battery life is good on these and you can use them for several hours before the need for a recharge. As for the effectiveness, these hearing aids do amplify the sounds around you, but all of the sounds including background noise seep through as well. Sometimes in life you don't do the smartest things like take care of your hearing when you are younger. In those times, you need a little help hearing in your later years. Wanted to try these and while they do work adequately, I can still hear a hum almost like interference on a mic and it's pretty noticeable, at least to me. As someone that enjoys great audio equipment, maybe I'm hearing something that most won't ever hear, but it's still there. I'm in my mid-70s and my hearing has decreased significantly. I'm constantly having to ask people to repeat themselves, especially when a lot of people my age are wearing protective masks. I also find myself increasing the volume of the TV. I considered getting hearing aids through my Medicare health plan, which does offer hearing aid subsidies. Truly, the choice is extremely limited with what I consider to be older technology, without rechargeable batteries, and they are huge and are not very discrete. Chockingly an upgrade was nearly $5000.00 more. I started to search and found these tiny in the year rechargeable hearing aids. These hearing aids are virtually invisible and completely discrete. The ones I ordered were not the digital model as they were more expensive. The ones I ordered are the analog models, and honestly, they do a great job of amplifying the sound, which can individually be adjusted. Granted, I'm sure the $5,000.00 hearing aids have some real fancy upgrades, but for me, I just wanted simply a hearing aid to increase the sound, and these hearing aids do exactly that. ... show more

Read the instructions, repeatedly. Tried everything suggested. The feedback screech was so terrible, that I'd honestly rather not hear. There's no way that isn't damaging to your ears to suffer that noise until you seat it "properly". There's no world where I would go through that noise to get to the point where it might finally stop and these would lightly amplify the sound around me. Hard pass. ... show more

Wasn't expecting these to be high end stuff so what we got was fine. They're pretty comfortable and they do look lowkey which is extremely important. The only big issue is it doesn't actually work well especially since a lot of background noise seeps through. It's fine if you need a backup or something to tide you over but while it is lightweight and comfortable, you'd likely want something that works better to get the right frequencies. I wonder if it's because we ordered the analog signal model instead of the digital one that appears on the listing page now? ... show more

These are functional personal hearing amplifiers. I hesitate to use the term hearing aid, because real hearing aids have come such a long way in terms of quality and function. These amplify sound and do it in a discrete way that is easy to set up and use. The design minimizes feedback and the functionality is very basic. The digital noise filtering claim seems to be exaggerated on these and I feel that they are similar in quality and function to others I have in the hundred dollar range (if not identical). These work, but I am not sure of the value of them based on the asking price of two-fifty at the time of this review. ... show more

Not a high-end set, but they do work well enough. READ the instructions. You'll be greeted by an unruly screeching until you seat the properly. Once you have them in properly, they work fine.
