  • Emergency
Flavor Name: 104 Servings - Variety Pack Bucket
Not bad for the price. Sent to a friend in an emergency and she loved it. She said it tastes good and is easy to prepare. Ordered another for me just in case. Says it'll last 25 years. Maybe I'll test that it I don't eat it first.

  • Emergency food product
Flavor Name: 84 Servings - Breakfast and Entrée
Purchased this brand product after reading about other brands . The Readywise brand had great reviews . Wanted this for use in case of emergency. Came as stated but i did break open sealed container to visually inspect items . We found 2 had been perforated but the rest were ok. We did call the companies customer service and explained what our issue was with product. The company made good and shipped out to us 2 replacements which were placed back into container . Container comes sealed up , has a 25 year shelf life . Only needs water and heat to cook such as a stove or open fire . Good to have in case of severe weather and or emergencies where you could be homebound more than a week . ... show more

  • Pretty good for powdered eggs.
Flavor Name: 144 Servings - Powdered Eggs
When you stir up the egg mix and water it looks pretty nasty but it cooks up and tastes good. I used salt and pepper then sprinkled on cheese and it was great. Way better than emergency food should be. Big plus is after you open the bucket there are individual packs sealed up rather than the #10 cans need to be re sealed. Cheese and Rotel omelet with salt and pepper on top of fresh rice is great and really pretty simple with basic items on hand. Btw the cheese was also freeze dried and re hydrated for this plate. Slowly been trying out some of my long term storage items. ... show more

  • I haven't needed it yet but it is comforting to know that it is there
Flavor Name: 120 Servings - Emergency Pack Bucket
This is one of those types of items that I hope to never truly need but it gives me a lot of peace knowing that it is there for me in a time of need. The bucket shipped quickly and arrived without any damage. It feels like it is well made and will be shelf stable for a long time. I assume I will probably open it and test some of the meals on my next camping trip to test them out but as of right now this bucket is sitting safely with my other emergency items. ... show more

  • Perfectly acceptable emergency food source
Flavor Name: 52 Servings - Prepper Pack Bucket
I purchased this item for one purpose only. To sustain life during a survival situation regardless of what that situation might be. I purchased this item with that goal in mind. With that said, I'll note a few thoughts on this product. In deciding products to purchase, I ordered samples from various companies. Although I do not plan to open this bucket until needed in an emergency, I did try out Wise Foods sample entrees. I can say that they were packed well in bags with oxygen absorbers in each bag. When preparing the meals, I took heed of some other reviews about water amounts and started with a little less that half the water called for. With the stroganoff, this produced an extremely thick sauce and crunchy noodles. After adding about 1/4 cup over half what is called for, the sauce thinned a bit to a nice creamy texture and the noodles became soft. The flavor was better than tolerable but not great simply because I don't care for super salty foods. The serving size is a bit small but I felt fulfilled despite that. Contrary to some other reviews I have seen, I did not feel excessively thirsty afterward. This is not something I would ever take camping nor would I ever use this food as a quick meal at home. What I did discover, however, was that this food is more than acceptable to survive on when there is nothing else. That is what this food was meant for and that is what I am using it for. For that reason, I am comfortable giving this product 5 stars. I would very much rather eat this than eating a stray cat, insects, or raw rat meat. One final note. Many reviews mention the excessive salt. I have found that every long term food storage product I have looked at had just about the same salt content per serving. Wise foods seem to have a little less than some other brands but it's still up pretty high. I, for one, won't be complaining about that when I'm starving to death. ... show more

  • Not returnable! Check the packs right away!!
Flavor Name: 84 Servings - Gluten Free Bucket
I read many reviewers mention that some of the packs had holes, so I was sure to check my bags immediately upon delivery. The delivery box was fine, and the bucket itself was fine. No damage at all. Inside my gluten free box were all gold plastic packs. The packs are all multiple servings, 6 or 8 servings. As I pulled out the packs, I noticed several had some powder on them, and the bucket did have some orangey powder on the inside as well. The orange powder smelled like ramen flavor pack. Examining the packs, I found that the teriyaki rice packs all looked like they had small punctures, and one had a definite tear , about 1/4 inch. I guess this recipe has some really sharp pointy ingredients that can puncture the bags when they vacuum seal it. The tortilla soup bags had some pokes. The yogurt bags were fine and the potato chicken pot pie bags were fine. My gluten free box has no meat in the recipes, so I guess I can just put the questionable bags in a vacuum seal bag for extra protection since they are supposed to be freeze dried. They should keep ok (I hope!), but not for 25 years. You cannot return the food!!! And I was not able to find a contact phone number or email for the company. If you have issues with your box, contact Amazon customer service directly so they can help you. Another thing about the instructions included for reconstituting the food. The multiple serving bags of meals say to use 6 cups of water for the whole bag (which is 6 servings), but for the yogurt, it only says to add 1 cup of water for whole bag of 8 servings?? I guess I'll only know when I try eating it... I don't know why the company doesn't read these reviews and respond to the repeated complaints of torn bags inside the buckets. They need to come up with a better way to keep these ingredients sealed to last for 25 years as they claim. I purchased in September 2024, and all the components of my box were labeled as April 2024. ... show more
