Got this for my husband for father's day. The cooler seems to be solid. It comes with a basket so no need to buy one unless you want/need two. It isnt too heavy & it has a nice seal to it. You can use a padlock or two to secure your items. Handles are functional made of rope & a nice rubber grip. The latches are made of a solid but pliable thick rubber (although I could see how these could wear out with extended use over time...) We filled the cooler full of ice and drinks. Gonna let it sit in the hot sun over the next few days. Will update as far as the longevity of the ice. This cooler is by far the largest & most expensive cooler I have ever bought. My husband was happy with his gift & we hope to get several years of use out of it. Update: After 5 days sitting in the hot sun 90+ temps the ice had melted by approx half and the drinks were still cold. ... show more

Yea, it is a darker color (Navy), but it in no way inhibits it's chilling abilities. The Tundra 65 easily fit's 60+ cans plus ice, or whatever you put in there. The large Ozark ice packs fit snuggly width wise. I have 6 of them and rotate 2 out from a freezer every few days, depending on need. They usually sit vertically or lengthwise around the cans, so there's no issue in a real world situation. I haven't bought ice since I don't know when. With ice, your hands will get cold just dipping in for a can/bottle, for up to a week, easily. Super cold ice water. ... show more

I love the tundra 65 so much because it holds literally everything. A great cooler if you want your drinks and food in one cooler. it can get heavy when its completely filled with all your drinks and ice but its easy to carry with the handles on the side, you just need to people to carry it. This is the last cooler I will ever need, ice lasts for days and the food and beverages stay cold thru out the day. Just ice down the cooler 2hrs before use to get the inside cold and then just drain the water and it is ready to use.
