good quality frames--I was surprised by the value. You may see others identified as The Actor frame style that look identical, but this one from Readers.com has hinged temples. I orders two pair that looked identical but from different sellers. One was less expensive but comes with regular hinge temples. Nothing wrong with that but these spring temples are very comfortable and keep the glasses in place--no need to push them up. Traditional bifocals with lines have the advantage of simplicity--it's either magnified or un-magnified and your eyes don't need to search for the right magnification. The disadvantage--besides making you look older perhaps--is that the the transition line blocks vision right there in the center. You'll get the hang of always looking below or above it and it becomes habit, but even with a good habit it can be an obstacle if you're walking around in varied situations and then can't figure out at first why you can't focus because you don't realize you're trying to see a distant object that's in the lower half of your vision. Once you figure it out you tilt your head down and you can see it, but until then you have that big transition line blocking your vision. ... show more

I absolutely love these bifocal readers! I just recently had an eye exam. I was told by my new optometrist all I needed was to increase my reader strength instead of getting new glasses. I hated wearing my prescription bifocal eyeglasses they always seemed off. I researched and found that you can indeed get bifocal readers. I ordered these glasses. Oh my goodness I can see! The Actor bifocal readers lenses are large. I can see clearly through the top of the lens and finally see small print perfectly through the bottom part with out having blurred vision or feeling dizzy. They are really cute on too. ... show more

I can fool everyone that I don’t need readers glasses hehe! These glasses are very fashionable, nicely made and work great if you don’t need other prescription than reading. Sometimes I end up wearing them all day when driving and need to check navigation on my phone, or while working or cooking and looking at the recipe! Only problem is that both pairs that I bought one of the "gold" decoration fell off., that's why I put 4 stars. Yet, I Adore!! :) ... show more

I'm very happy with these readers. The upper half of the lens is very clear and the bottom (1.5×) is a good size also. I am a woman with quite a small head ( I actually have to wear children's sunglasses!) and these fit me very well. I don't think they would fit a man or a woman with a larger head. I checked the measurements listed against my former glasses and was quite happy to find readers in this small size. They feel very sturdy and well made. ... show more

I love this frame and was excited to get some bifocal readers so I didn't have to constantly take them on and off but sadly the bifocal part is completely off on both lenses.

Love Love Love!!! They’re so stylish & the bifocal lens isn’t too noticeable. I have a smallish head but these weren’t too loose on me like some others are. Only con is that they came in an envelope & nothing else! No case, no bubble wrap, just the glasses. Would recommend them
