I love everything about it…except I used to hit my shins every time I use it. Where you stand is sturdy metal, 1/16” thick. It really really hurts when you swing it into your shin.

This scooter has been absolutely outstanding. It has been on several trips and has taken all kinds of trauma and drama like a champ. We replaced the handles on it last year after too much abuse. I am typing this now while we are at a park and mini me is scooting around the park while I sit and enjoy the atmosphere. Life is good and this scooter is definitely a good choice for a bigger kid or even an adult. I purchased it originally on the recommendation of an adult that is 5'10" who said that she rode around on her kids scooter and let me try it out.
