  • Excellent for my use. Sturdy and easy.
I picked this one because I have a ton of music books I want to bind. Most music is A4 size and this machine allows for the larger size. The punch works nicely. I recommend doing 8-10 sheets at a time. I punch plastic covers one at a time. It’s heavy and sturdy but I don’t like to force things. There weren’t directions with it but I figured out the comb opening placement. Besides the size accommodation, I especially like the clear accurate paper markings, it’s heavy enough to not slide around on the table but has a small footprint and I can easily move it to a shelf when not in use. Also, the individual punches have a lever in the front that is easily pulled out I’d you want to punch fewer holes. If you’re doing larger sizes like music, know that you have to either order longer combs for 21 holes - (etter size is 19 holes) or cut of 2-3” of another comb to extend it. Also transparent covers don’t come in A4 that I can find. Cut apart plastic pocket folders from Walmart and use heavy packing tape to create what I need. ... show more

  • It works once you figure it out!
It worked OK, but didn't come with good directions. It took us a half an hour to figure out how to get the tines of the binding to work with the machine. There is a crew on the back that will adjust a bar that adjusts the depth of the hole punch in relationship to your paper - we discovered this by accident. Make sure the 'opening' of the binding is facing you when you lay it on the machine. Then use the bar above away from you to open the tines and hold them open. You will need to carefully insert the punched area of your document over the opened tines by hand then you can release it to close it up and make your booklet. So 1) adjust the bar for depth, 2) place your document in and punch by moving the handle toward you 3) place roll of tines facing you in the place above the punch 4) Push the handle away from you to open the tines and hold them open 5) By hand place the punched holes over the open ends of the tines 6) Move handle back toward you to allow the tines to close toward you and complete your booklet. It works once you figure it out! ... show more

  • Great little machine!
I like to play around with making books so I chose this model because it allows for limiting the number of holes punched, which means you can have smaller or multiple bindings on the same sheet of paper. It will handle a dozen or so sheets at a time which is fine for my purposes, but would probably be tiresome if you had many booklets to be assembled. The lever controls both the punching of the holes and, when pressed in the opposite direction, expands the loops in the comb when binding the booklet. It works smoothy and cuts cleanly. It's as close to the one I used to use at school as I could find, but I believe this one is considerably smaller and lighter...which is a good thing:) ... show more

  • Fantastic!!
I am a kindergarten teacher. I bought this book binding machine because I am working from home during the pandemic. This machine helps me make writing journals and other workbooks for my students. This is the same binding machine we use at school. Heavy, sturdy machine. The notes from the company say that it can punch through 15 pages. I would say it's more like 10 pages. It struggled with 15. Worth my hard earned money. ... show more

  • A quarter of punchers do not work.
Quality control is a foreign concept to the people who 'make' this product. Looks nice from the outside but the internals workings are trash. About 25% of hole punchers seemed to be missing as holes at one end and in the middle were not punched, not even an indentation.

  • Easy to setup and use
This is a very good product. I bought a cheaper version first and had to return it. Good Buy!

  • Works great!
Works great. Bought this to replace a commercial grade binding machine that broke. It’s not as sturdy, and cannot punch through as many pages, but it cuts clean and accurately!
