Our old large display living room clock finally died, so I ordered this one. I view it from across the room, and my wife, although closer to it, has very bad eyesight. This clock is easy to see for both of us, the display is big and bright. My wife stays at home and it's nice to see the date and day of the week so she doesn't lose track. We also like seeing the temperature. We found the clock easy to set, with individual buttons for each feature clearly labeled on the back. I set it by the time on our phones and it keeps the time perfectly. What could be better? Well, as easy as the buttons on the back are to access, you have to hold the clock by the edges or you'll inadvertently hit the snooze buttons on the top, thereby bumping you out of whatever feature you were adjusting. This is a bit annoying, but once you've figured out how to hold it, no big deal. The second thing I'd prefer would be for this to have the "atomic clock" feature. I looked for a similar clock that had that, but they were all considerably smaller. If it were an option available on this clock, I'd have happily paid a few dollars more for it. Again, the clock keeps good time, so this is more of a wish than a necessity. Summary: If you need/want a clock with a big, bright, easily read display, at a modest cost, I think you'll be more than pleased with this one. My spouse kept asking about time, date, etc. I placed this in an area across from his chair where he could see without having to get up. It has really helped him to be orientated during this early phase of dementia. It has also decreased the many times a day he asks this question. The instructions said to insert a battery, but one was not included. I have it sitting (not mounted) and plugged into an outlet. Our daughter said she liked it and was going to buy one also. ... show more

I needed a table clock for my wife, in an assisted living facility, that she could readily see the time and day of the week. This clock delivers all that, plus a relatively accurate inside temperature reading. On that score alone, I would rate the clock a five star. However, there are some caveats, both good and bad. 1) the original clock I ordered had a few LEDs staying on all the time, confusing certain readings. 2). I wrote the manufacturer and told him my problem; he agreed to send me a replacement clock and did not require me to return the original clock. 3) replacement clock arrived in only a few days. This clock has been perfect so far. 4) as others have noted, I would not recommend this clock as a wall clock; it can be used as such and hardware is included, but, due to the electric cord pulling down off center, it is a little difficult to keep it squared up. This, of course, is true of many “wall” clocks. 5) others have complained about the plastic “leg” included with the clock to make it useful as a table clock; it took a little patience but, following the directions, it clicked into the clock body and works well. 6) brightness is not an issue, even in a well-lit room; it offers five levels of brightness. I use it on the fourth highest one. 7) not just an alarm clock, it offers three individual alarms. 8) this is a relatively large clock so, if using it at short distances, the individual LEDs are quite noticeable. This would be true of most such clocks. A smaller clock may be more practical. My wife is about six feet from the clock on a table and that presents no problem. IN SUMMARY: this clock offers a lot for the money, especially as a table clock. The customer service was excellent, something that’s hard to find these days. ... show more

I got this clock/alarm because it had not only the time but the day, date and temperature. That way you don’t always have to depend on the cell phone or internet to give this information when needed. I got one for my child as well for the room. It works out great for our rooms.
