I bought this life jacket as I wanted a cheap one for a one time boating trip. But it is surprisingly good. It fit my 65 lb 9 year old perfectly, and was comfortable to wear. He wore it into the lake and the top did not cut into his neck the way that the other children's life jackets were doing, and it kept him afloat with his head above water. I have a boat rental business and these life jackets are used daily. the kids find them to be very comfortable and after a year of use I haven't any issues with sun fading. They are holding up well. The weight size for these jackets are 50-90 pounds for the youth jackets. I have found these to work really well for the full weight range but best for the 70-90 pounds. Alot of other brands don't work well for the taller kids and the ones closer to the upper end of the weight limits. This jacket is a little longer so it has a better range of fit. ... show more

Love the wider arm holes! We tried 3 different vests before we kept this one, with most of the thickness around the midsection it's great for kayaking & paddling, allowing for more arm movement. My daughter is 9, tall & lanky. It doesn't fit as snugly around her as I would like, but she is a good swimmer, just needs to be extra safe in her Kayak. I would not recommend this vest for general swimming, I think it would ride up around the neck!?!? I also wish it was a softer fabric. The life vest that my daughter grew out of before this one was a HoHo & the covering was so soft! Past that we're happy with it & there's WAY worse out there! ... show more

It’s perfect my child who still learning to swim. It’s a great design with the V neck it’s not too constricting “loose” so it’s gives room to swim. There’s belts on the side you make it tighter or loose. It was good price. My daughter use for camp.

Read the review about fitting another person's daughter with a "little more tummy" than most kids her age and it helped tremendously. My 4 yr old is def above avg height and weight but is not 100% in the water yet. This fit her perfectly! Works great in our pool.
