No Comparison between this New set and the set I've owned for over 20 years. Tool Quality is cheaper and the Sheath Sucks!!. It doe not hold the tools Securely, the strap hardly reaches over them to attach to the velcro and the scissors stick out of the bottom 1/2". Dont kneel down...

The holster style carrier is poorly designed, in my opinion. The tools themselves are great. Scissors readily cut braid as well as mno or fluorocarbon line. Having a pair of needle nose pliers to remove the hook from a deeply hooked fish is a must.

I bought these after switching to braided line. The scissors work great for cutting the braided line and the pliers work well for hook retrieval.

    • Just what I needed
Tools are of good quality, nylon holster is junk. Doesn't securely hold the tools, poor fit and unstable on the belt. With that said, don't let the crappy holster from preventing you from purchasing the set (unless you're purchasing the set for the holster!).

Pliers and scissors are fine, but the sheath is in the trash, Flimsy, metal parts sticking out, tools don't fit. expected better from Rappala, oh well will use tools until they break and then look elsewhere
