It's made of decent stainless steel, the touch buttons are responsive. The LEDs could be a touch brighter, the fans are somewhat loud, but it moves a decent amount of air. My biggest gripe about the product is the included mounting anchors, they're hot trash. If you plan on mounting this underneath a cabinet, use some 1/4 bolts and wing nuts. The removable grates make it easy to mark the mounting slots. There is a paper template that comes with it but I just used the slots as my guide. The frame is light and not too heavy to hold while marking. The metal at the mounting holes is pretty thin. The screws that came with the hood did not have very wide heads. One, this is so the heads will fit through the opening. However, the slots on the hood and the heads of the screws are not much different. I ended up putting washers on different screws and just attaching them straight up under the cabinet. The fan has three speeds and is not too loud. There are two lights under the hood that are just the right brightness. The round corners at the front seem much more stylish than the squares off corners of other brands. The exhaust vent had multiple options for round or rectangular vent pipes. I’ve only had this for two days but it’s way better than the microwave I had before. ... show more

This range hood is very well made. The stainless steel is good quality and all the futures work as expected. The fan is strong enough for most peoples home use. If you want a really, really strong suction, then you need to move up to a stronger model.

    • LUV it - but it chatters! IMPORTANT UPDATE: the chatter is now FIXED!!!

The install was pretty straight forward. I had to do some finagling to do it all be myself, but a pair of quick-grips did the trick! So it is all installed...I turn on the power....push the fan button...and i get a inconsistent "chatter" of metal. I believe it is due to the buttterfly damper kinda flailing about. Other than the fan, the damper is the only other moving part - but it is enclosed within the unit and the exhaust stack so there is no way to verify that doesn't involve completely un-installing the unit. Other than that - it looks quite sharp, the suction power and fan noise are good (not excellent), and the lighting is exactly what was needed! All-in-all, a good value buy! UPDATE! The chatter is fixed!! The "chatter" was NOT the damper! It was the grease grates!! I was on the verge of uninstalling the whole thing...and I just happened to reach down for a tool, and from the corner of my eye I could see the right grease grate jiggling up and down - just enough to make the "chatter" noise. I removed the grate and ever so slightly bent the back edge by a tiny smudgeon - a very long smooth arc sp that the back corners would 'wedge' a bit against the top frame. I put the grate back in - and no more chattering !!! Took the left grate out and repeated the ever so slight bend just to be sure. Put everything back together and tested on all three speeds - and not one time did it chatter anymore. YIPPEE!!! ... show more

The hood has been installed. It came with all the parts necessary to retro fit it in place of my old one. The lights are great. It is a bit more noisy that my older one was and doesn't see to pull the steam from the front burners as well as it does from the back ones. Over all, I would recommend this range hood. ... show more

This is an attractive range hood and I like the rounded corners. The lights are bright. The vent fan work well, except on low you can hear the internal flaps as they open and close. My contractor said there was nothing that could be done, except dismantle and add soundproofing, which I wasn't inclined to do. On medium and high you can't hear the rattling so I just won't run it on low. ... show more

I mainly purchased this model for the rounded corners. Where my stove is situated, my family would’ve constantly smacked their heads into a sharp corner. It works well so far. The bright light is a welcome change from not having a hood and the power levels are good. I didn’t have a manual…I thought maybe our contractor threw it out but, upon reading the reviews, perhaps it didn’t come with one. The seller has listed how to set the clock in the listing and that’s all I was really missing. Except maybe a warranty? ... show more
