I bought These for my 2003 Tacoma Double Cab. It had a coil Spacer lift prior to installing these. I measured before install and after. I gained about 1.75 inches over the spacer lift. So maybe about 2.5 or 3 inches over stock. I am not 100% on stock measurements. I was even able to do the install my self.(Minus a trip to alignment shop.) These beat the spacer lift by a long shot. My ride quality has improved. Night and day difference. I had them on the #5 setting and it felt a little to soft to me. So i put them on the #7 setting. That's another thing about these you are able to dial in what you feel comfortable driving. I plan on installing them on any ride i get from now on.(UPDATE) I have put about 15,000 miles on them. And still them same. The ride quality is the same if not better after the have settled in. I do however lose .25 inches after settling. Still love them!! Adjustment valves were a bit difficult to turn when increasing to the higher settings, if the wheels were on the ground. A bit of a rough ride for my 98 tacoma. Still working on finding the best setting for what I want though. But definitely a great product, easy to install and satisfied overall.

    • Perfect setup for 2001 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner 3.4 V6
OK here is how it went down. I used the Rancho Struts up front. It comes ready to install (Spring, strut assy) I also used Fabtech (FTS205) 1-1/2" Add-A-Leaf Kit for Toyota Tacoma for the rear of truck along with (Left Rear) Bilstein 24-184960 Bilstein Shocks - 4600 series & (Right Rear) Bilstein 24-184977 Bilstein Shocks - 4600 series. With this exact setup there is no need for a leveling kit. You'll get almost 3 inches a lift all the way around and the right is amazing. No leaning into turns, recovers quickly from dips, bumps etc. It is level all the way around and drives amazing. I can't say enough about it. This is setup for a 2001 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner (4 door/double cab) with the TRD off road package. 3.4 liter V6 automatic Transmission 2 wheel Drive. ... show more

Great replacement for stock coilovers that were sagging so bad 5 of the coils were actually sitting on top of one another, paired with blown out shocks. The ride quality is noticable and since my stock suspension was sagging 1-2" BELOW stock specs the added height might be exaggerated by my perspective. Either way, if I could do it over again I would've done Toytec Boss 3" adjustables. But if you need something to replace broken stock shocks, or you want a small lift without toytec costs and without doing a dumb A** spacer lift, these are the way to go. They aren't amazing, they aren't ICON, they aren't TOYTEC, but they are DECENT. ... show more

Dont let the 3 star review fool you, this shock/strut combo drives and handles very well. Made my truck frrl like new again. The reason for 3 stars is when i first put them in the amount of lift was good. after 3 weeks they settled a lot farther than i thought they should only giving me about an inch lift. Also after only 3 months they have already started rusting. I would probably not recommend them to someone. Spend the money and go with old man emu. ... show more
