The media could not be loaded. I purchased this vacuum from Royal Line Pro. This vacuum is like driving a Ferrari! The power nozzle just glides across the carpet. The power nozzle has both a brush roll AND round spinning brushes on the corners that effortlessly get dirt out of baseboard/floor crevices without having to put the crevice attachment on. The spinning brush mechanism totally brings all imbedded pet hair and dust to the surface making fur balls, and the fur balls are then easily vacuumed up. The brush system does an amazing job of grooming the carpet— made my 25 year old carpet look fluffier and almost like new. The stuff that came out of my carpet was absolutely disgusting. I also own a Kirby vacuum with a brand new brushroll and had vacuumed with it just 2 days before using the Rainbow (see photo). I was absolutely embarrassed, as I keep a clean home and don’t ever wear shoes inside, but this is the first step forward to keeping a Rainbow clean home. My home smelled noticeably cleaner after using the Rainbow for the first time. The cord is a good length and the wand and hose are long enough for me (5 ft 6) to stand on the floor and vacuum the air conditioner vents and chandelier on a 13 foot ceiling with the dust attachment. This vacuum is a “2 speed“ vacuum which means you can run it on high speed and use it as a vacuum and air purifier at the same time or you can run it on low speed and use it just as an air purifier. You can also add essential oil or Rainbow brand fragrances to the water to create a wonderful aroma while you clean. It uses water and a hepa filter to “wash“ and then filter the air. OTHER NOTES: Some people complain about the vacuum being bulky and clunky but I don’t think it is. Is it as lightweight as a stickvac? No—- but you also don’t get this kind of clean with any other kind of vacuum. Some people have also said that if they would add water to the dirt they pulled out of a normal vacuum it would look just like what the Rainbow pulls out. Ohhh——I beg to differ. I vacuum a lot (I have a Kirby and a Shark) and carpet shampoo regularly. I have never in my life pulled debris and crap out of my carpet like I have with the Rainbow. ASTHMA: I realize that asthmatics ideally shouldn’t have carpet but hey—- I like carpet! Keeping dust and pollen out of my home is key in managing my asthma. The inflammation in my nose, sinuses, and throat have gone down noticeably since using the Rainbow. As a result, I find myself clearing my throat less. I wake up less congested and can actually smell in the morning! Surprisingly, I noticed my indoor cat also scratches much less (I think he is sensitive to dust mites.) He is 15 but he rolls around on the carpet like a kitten after I vacuum— he never did that before. ... show more

    • Few Tips
My mother had (and still has) one of these. I purchased one after having several uprights break down after a couple of years of use (at $150+ each) and deciding to bite the bullet and hand over the money for something I knew would last. This isn't straight from dealer. They don't sell online. This is second hand and doesn't come with the 20 year warranty you can get from a real Rainbow dealer, so be aware of that. However, buying from a dealer also costs you over $2,000 for the same product (according to two of my relatives who own one and purchased from Rainbow sellers). So, you get a deal here, but with a lower warranty. It's extremely large and cumbersome. It can become a chore just to put it together to vacuum and clean it/put it away. But the power is worth it because it does a good job and lasts for decades. The photo shown is angled to make it look smaller (to make the vacuum head/handle the feature and the engine smaller looking- that's photo trickery). The main unit is pretty large and very heavy with the water in it- however the power it provides makes the floor unit pretty much pull itself across the floor. A tip to keep it from having trouble: Turn the main unit upside down after every other use and use a wrench or pliers to unscrew the plastic filter and clean it out with a toothbrush (factory advice from folks who've worked on my mom's under warranty). It CAN clog up and shut down on you, you'll end up waiting forever with floors uncleaned just to have that simple trick performed under warranty. It's a great vacuum, but not a miracle. It does require upkeep. And too much carpet powder will turn into cement in the bottom of the water container- Is terrible to try to get out unless you use a water hose. ... show more

I waited until I used this numerous times before reviewing, because I honestly thought the product at the price point was too good to be true. I have always been a fan of the Rainbow vacuum, but wasn’t willing to pay the price. This is my first ever refurbished purchase & we couldn’t be more satisfied. Arrived with no issues. Well packaged to prevent any damage. The seller included contact information for issues & services. The vacuum was immaculate. It looked brand new, as did all of the attachments. It smelled clean. No wear that we could find. A copy of a manual was included as well. I feel like I bought a brand new machine. It’s fantastic & we have had no issues. Love the material and design. This is my second purchase the first lasted 30 years. Just do the maintenance and don’t leave the dirty water sitting in the container with the vacuum on top or else it will ruin the motor. This vacuum will serve you well for years if maintained the right way.

I bought it for a gift and did not open it on the day of my wife’s birth; I opened the gift and was not happy. it came dirty, pozararonoe and turns on every time I opened it, and then stopped working for 15 minutes and turned on again and so raised it several times
