  • Good cart but cheap straps and kickstand
The wheels and frame are good quality, for a plastic cart, but the kickstand and straps are very flimsy and cheap. I reached out to Railblaza about the straps because the ones shown on their website, and shown on the product here on Amazon are not the straps you actually get. The former, now discontinued straps were the ones shown, and are wider. The straps you’ll actually get now are black one side, white the other, but are much more narrow. About an inch wide. Of course, I can just go to my local hardware store, or Home Depot, and pick up better strap, but at over $ 100 bucks for a snap together crt, you would think you would get quality straps. The kickstand is also very cheap, and will likely break / fail soon… ... show more

  • Good but kickstand sux
It rolls through loose sand well. The big wheels do make an improvement in ease of travel. The kickstand is a wet noodle. Falls over when the wind blows and even modification to it by adding washers won't fix that matter. It hauled fully loaded kayaks no problem. Noisy when sand and grit are stuck around the wheel and axle. Other than that it's perfect. ... show more

  • Very light and low to ground. Could use more explicit assembly instructions.

  • Back saver for a newbie
So the idea of an inflatable kayak is the portability. For this aging newbie sport kayaker - well, up to a point IMO. For me, the combined weight of a Sea Eagle 330, and all the stuff I dutifully take along (extra paddles, extra pump, bilge pump, med kit, and misc) probably added up to 50 lbs. that needed to be tracked to the water's edge. And IMO the Sea Eagle carry duffle bag with the single strap wasn't cutting it. As one You Tuber put it, getting in isn't the problem with inflatables. It's deflating and packing it out at the end of day. And I'm usually tired and just want to heave all in car and clean out next day. Chose this car over the Sea Eagle's own cart because the Sea Eagle cart didn't look that portable to me (if it was even supposed to work with the SE 330). This cart looked like it would break down fast and NOT puncture and inflatable when you stowed it. Which, it did, even with the Sand Trakz wheels, as a Sea Eagle 330 has plenty of room for the day tripper. The Sea Eagle sags a bit on the cart, and it is fiddly to get on the cart without the cart falling over, but I am still learning. But, the cart was easy to re-assemble, and just being able to tow all my stuff to the car was a beautiful thing. I had to watch a You Tube video to learn how to get the straps on, but as far as I can tell the product performs as advertised (even with this inflatable which it wasn't designed for), and no regrets so far on the purchase. (I might try bringing a pool noodle with me to strap under the kayak at day's end for support.) I also like I can buy parts or different wheels for the cart. Looking forward to having this when I have to drag all my stuff uphill at the end of day. ... show more

  • Simple, sturdy and effective at its job
I really like the C-Tug as it is simple to use. I have carted my kayak over hard and soft surfaces including sand and impressed with the ease of doing so. I used it to haul my yak of 200 yards on a sandy beach and no issues. Can be a bit tricky getting it set up underneath the yak when kayak is fully loaded. What I like: Easy to put together and disassemble Easy to store in kayak on a trip in front hatch Does not bog down in the sand or soft surfaces when carrying kayak (my kayak is 82lbs and pushing 100lbs when loaded with gear) What I don't like: A little pricey Parts can get stuck together if you don't clean off sand where parts come together before assembly (doesn't take much) I would buy this again as it stores easily and is the best product on the market for my needs. ... show more

  • LIGHT weight
Well, we finally got to use it over Labor Day wknd....we stacked (2) kayaks on it....walked it on a paved road then onto the sand for about quarter of a mile....it seemed to hold the kayaks well, but we had serious squeaking happening. maybe due to (2) kayaks and not one....but it rolled nicely....we kept it with us, on my husbands Hobie kayak. Only thing is....once he begins fishing, this contraption would take up some room to store if he's bringing all his fishing tackle, etc., So, having to walk it back to the vehicle is still something you'd need to do, altho' we saw many people locking up their metal wheeled devices on the dock....that's an option, too...but this one breaks apart too easily to truly lock up...plus it's "plastic" and not like the others which are metal with non removable wheels and parts....We are happy with it tho' and it did the job. We will see how long it lasts for durability. all too early to tell, since we've only used it once. The squeaking sound does concern us...not sure why that happened. Maybe some WD40 may help on our next track out....but, the quality is great, and the straps worked solidly. so far so good. Again, happy with it..... ... show more
