  • Good chair......once you fix it
Please note that the two star rating is ENTIRELY due to the manufacturer, not the product. The manufacturer did not include printed instructions, the included tools have issues, and the bolts that attach the arms to the seat piece are too short. For those of you who want an easy-to-assemble product, this chair IS NOT for you. If you decide to purchase it anyway, you may want to acquire (2) 5/16-18 x 2 Socket head cap screws and (2) 1 x 13/32 x 1/16 nylon flat washers. These are to "fix" the short bolt issue. This issue may affect other chairs with this arm design, so be advised. When assembling the lower part of the arm, you are supposed to put the bolt through the arm, attach two bushings and a bearing, and attach to the seat bottom. The included bolts are about 1/8" too short to engage the threads. Using the longer screws works, but add one of the nylon washers between the seat bottom and the bushing to keep the arm tight. The chair is quite comfortable and stable. Would give the chair 4 stars, but the manufacturer gets negatives. ... show more

  • PO_(fill in the blank) I have had $20 walmart chairs better than this(salty)
This chair is flimsy, no instruction there is an oddly placed youtube video on raidmax tube with music in the background no spoken instruction, but it was easy enough to put together, however, I am 5'7'' at 200 Ibs athletic-ish build, and after assembling, i sat in it and it felt flimsy, verified all screws were tight, still the same, then i went to recline in it and the plastic arm snapped in half on the opposite side the recline lever is on. I made sure not to tighten the bolts to the arms down but a half turn after taut as to not cause this issue they were not over tightened. I have had several chairs of all types throughout the years and this is the most expensive piece of poorly manufactured chair i have ever used. ... show more

  • He’s happy with the chair, despite the reviews
I asked him what he likes most about the chair: “It’s comfortable” and “it’s orange”...😂 Got it for our son’s birthday. He put it together himself. We purchased it before reading all the reviews. There were not instructions in the box. I mentioned this when he opened it and said there were other revenue saying there was a YouTube video in case he needed help. Took him about 30 minutes without consulting online help. He said the only issue he has with assembly was the vertical armrest supports took effort. He was worried it was going to break but it did not. He said he probably won’t use the footrest since his legs are so long He’s 6’3” to give reference Four stars due to no instructions and difficulty w/ armrest assembly ... show more

  • It’s a very comfortable chair though and I love the footrest
The instructions were difficult to understand, lining up the back of the seat to the bottom was the most frustrating. I put together a similar chair a few years ago much faster, walking away in frustration a few times to get the screws to line up (which weren’t long enough imo) took me about 4 hours. Not even a week into it and one of the arms started wobbling and tried tightening it and just didn’t work so I decided to just take the arm off. It works for me, the arm isn’t necessarily a deal breaker for me, but be prepared for a major headache assembling it. It’s a very comfortable chair though and I love the footrest, it just doesn’t feel very durable though ... show more

  • Hard to assemble, but overall worth it
My box had come damaged, and one of the plastic cups that covers over the piston mechanism underneath the chair, came damaged. It's not super noticeable once the chair is assembled, but it is worth noting due to the box coming in damaged. This chair took my mother and I two hours to build. The directions were printed rather small and in a diagram format, which made it hard for us to distinguish some of the washers and where they were to be placed. We had struggled with the first assembly of connecting the back of the chair to the bottom because the holes on the sides weren't lining up properly with the screws; we discovered that they were made at an angle instead of being fleshed straight forward. The tools that came with the chair were slightly jagged on the ends, causing them to stick into the screws and bolts, which we had a hard enough time trying to line up with the threading of the pre-made holes. Once we were able to finally get the screws to connect, the rest of the chair building process was easier. I should have spent extra money to have someone else assemble this chair. Once the chair was assembled, I can attest to the reviews saying how comfortable it was. Overall, I felt that this chair was worth the money, and I'm looking forward to enjoying my new chair. ... show more

  • Do not purchase
The media could not be loaded. I like the fact that the chair aesthetically matched everything in my room about a week the padding in the chair felt less comfortable than my chair of five years The arms broke two months into ownership I recommend do not purchase

  • A great gaming chair for the money!
The Raidmax Drakon 709 is a fantastic gaming chair for the money. To start it off, the shipping was extremely quick. It took 2 days, and I didn't even choose 2 day shipping. This was surprising considering it's such a heavy package (55lbs) Secondly, it was super easy to setup once it got here. The manual was hardly needed, however the manual did explain things really well so it was no hassle setting up the chair. The overall quality of this chair is fantastic for the price tag. Gaming chairs can get really expensive, and to find one for 200$ was awesome, especially considering all of the features it has. It allows you to adjust the height, and you can recline back as far as you want. The arm rests feel very nice which is great, and there's also a leg rest that you can attach which yet another awesome touch. It also comes in a wide variety of colors, I purchased the blue one, but it also comes in red, orange and green. They all look great, however blue fit best with my setup. Most importantly, the chair is super comfortable! To wrap it up, if you're on a budget for a gaming chair, there are obviously other options that are slightly cheaper, but they don't offer the features that the Drakon 709 offers. Especially not at a cheaper price. ... show more
