  • Not built for extended/prolonged use.
Color: Grey
UPDATE: The company has personally reached out to me regarding my dissatisfaction with the product, and we have worked out a solution. I am updating my review from 3 stars to 5 for their customer service and willingness to make adjustments for customer satisfaction. My original review can be read below. ===== SUMMARY OF PROS AND CONS: + Gamer/racing-style aesthetic + Good back support + Relatively easy to assemble - No adjustable armrests - Deep seat uncomfortable for wide-set bottoms/wider sitting positions - Squeaks after short period of time - Height adjustment stopped working I purchased this chair in May 2020, and as of this review it will have been five months since my original purchase. In these past five months, the chair has exposed all of its flaws. When the chair arrived, assembly was fairly simple. While there was one cosmetic part of the chair—a plastic part that only covered the metal hinge of the recliner—that did not fit properly into the assembly, everything else was smooth in putting the chair together. Regarding the ergonomics of the chair itself, it is a solid chair. The back is built well and provides plenty of back support. It also comes with a head pillow and a lumbar pillow for those who require extra support. Because this is a racer-style chair, however, keep in mind that the seat sinks into the middle. The dip is fairly significant, so if you have a wider set bottom, it may be uncomfortable. The dip also makes it uncomfortable to sit in any other position than with your legs both on the ground—if you're one to sit with one leg sitting over the other or with a wider stance, it will not be a comfortable sit. Granted, for the sake of your posture it's probably better to sit in a neutral position, but old habits die hard. The armrests are not adjustable, though that was not a dealbreaker for me. I was loving this chair until about two weeks after the purchase. At that point, the chair began to squeak regularly when I would lean back to a significant degree. While that did not bother me too much initially, the squeak gradually became more prominent, and now it squeaks even with the slightest rocking. Four months in, the seat height adjustment began to falter. I have the chair adjusted to the highest height at all times, but within four months, it would slowly sink over the course of a few days, to which I would need to readjust it. This gradually worsened to the point of needing to adjust it multiple times per day if I am seated for a prolonged period of time. All things considered, the chair still works and is still usable. It is flawed and is not built for prolonged or long-term use, but if you really need the gaming-style chair aesthetic, this is an okay choice. Otherwise, look into regular old office chairs with a better ergonomic fit and better build quality. ... show more

  • Need a new chair that won't break the bank? You're reading a review about it.
Color: Black Red
I bought this chair hesitantly knowing there is a sea of cheap knockoff gaming chairs out there around this price range that you hear horror stories about how bad they are, but I did some research and this chair came up to seem a pretty good bang for the buck, so I ordered it, and it came pretty fast, I believe within 3 days it was at my door. Assembly was very easy, knocked it out myself in about half an hour to an hour, although instructions are a bit vague its not rocket science it only uses 2 types of screws. Once it was assembled it definitely over delivered on my expectations, my old chair was slanting and was all sorts of messed, I wanted a chair that was firm enough and was easy to keep good posture on, and the pillows it comes with really do that for you effortlessly. I was worried the seat might be to narrow but it wasn't, although maybe an extra inch wouldn't hurt, arm rests are what I saw people complain about the most but I almost never have my arms on there, but they work for when I want to, they're firm and soft at the same time. The wheels are awesome, I'm on a carpet and I thought my old chair had trouble rolling on it because of the carpet but this chair made me realize it was just the low quality wheels on my last chair because these glide on it perfectly. The height and angle adjustments are more than satisfactory. On top of all this I have the peace of mind that in the case that any of my parts become damaged the manufacturers have shown a great deal of efforts to uphold the quality and will send you replacements if needed. For the price, this chair overdelivers, don't get hung up on the reviews that say some parts were missing or something was broken bla bla bla the manufacturers will make sure you get what you're supposed to get and this chair built as it should is 100% worth the money. ... show more

  • Out of the box arm rests are too low to be useful if you are 6'4"
Color: Black Red
Update 3/18/2018 (5 stars) I have just attached the new armrests to the chair. They are great. Devoko has the right business model for a successful Amazon company. Sell a cost effective quality product at a good price and make sure everyone is happy with it. I had to bump them up to 5 stars based on all of these points. This is a great chair for comfortable long stints at a computer especially if you can lean back. And it is still a really good chair for standard office use where the seat is not reclined and you are focused on killer typing speed. When you consider the price, I would say you would have a very difficult time getting a chair of this quality by a company that cares about its customers (read reputation) this much for even double the price or more. Update 2/28/2018 (4 stars) Devoko really stands behind their products. I woke to receiving an email from them offering to work with me to make this right. I will update this review again once the situation is completely resolved. As for the armrests that come with the chair, I stand behind my original statement that they provide no support for your hands being on a keyboard. However, if later in the day you want to recline the backrest about 30 degrees and watch some videos on your computer, this is one very comfortable chair. Original 2/27/2018 -- immediately after assembling and trying out. (3 stars) At 6'4", I find the arm rests non existent (i.e. they are at least an inch too low to be useful or provide any support to the shoulders. This causes my shoulders to sag and I have to support my arms the entire time I am using this chair. This was slightly more expensive than my current chair (that was about $100) and based on the arm rests alone, much less comfortable. That being said, my current chair has adjustable arm rests which probably is what allowed it to be as comfortable as it is for my size. On a positive note, I do like the lumbar support. I did not know if I would like it as it looked bulky in the pictures. The lumbar support is far more comfortable than it appears as if it would be. In a nutshell, I would not have purchased this had I sat in it prior to purchasing it on line. If you are shorter and can deal with the lower armrests, it may be a good seat for you. I may try this for a few more days. I also may try to return this. But after dealing with assembling it, I may just give it away also as the return would be cost prohibitive. Also to be fair, it is a pretty good chair for about $125 with shipping especially if you are comparing it to chairs with similar armrests. ... show more
