Very good value for your money. May not be a tool you need often but it’s great to have around in the right situation. I had to disconnect an intake hose on an 08 rav4 and this tool made it 5x easier to get the clamp off. There’s a locking mechanism built into the handle so when you have clamps opened up to the point you need them, the pliers lock and you can let go or easily adjust your grip without losing your clamp. Used it for an inaccessible clamp on an Altima oil cooler. It worked on 1 but not the other. Price was great. I'll probably get some use out of it in the future. Problem is once it's clamped down, it can still slide off the clamp laterally.

I previously had replaced a water outlet on my 2011 Cruze. It was such a pain because the clamps were so tough to work with on the hoses. When I had to replace another one, I bought these pliers and omg they made the job so much easier and faster. Do not hesitate. Get these now.

I've been working on cars for over 20 years as a hobbyist and always used channel locks to remove hose clamps. I caved and bought these and they are great! I love the locking feature to hold the clamp open while you manipulate it off the fitting. 100% recommend. PS: I thought they looked cheap but after using them they are not cheap at all :) ... show more
