If like me you're tired of constantly reattaching your radar detector to the windshield (due to suction cups not holding), this product is for you! Have found my radar detector numerous times, either on the floor or dangling from the power cord still attached. Hanging by the power cord occurred so many times eventually caused a broken solder joint in the radar detector's power connector. Not to mentioning dropping electronics again and again of course not the best thing for longevity. Came across this product and ordered. Attached to my mirror in less than five minutes (my mirror very similar to the product picture) using the supplied allen wrench. The products two ball joints allowed me to neatly tuck my V1 right under my mirror. I can adjust the mirror and not affect the position of the V1. Can easily remove the V1 from this mount in under five seconds. No more suction cup marks on the windshield. For what problems this product solves would gladly have paid twice the price. A most definite highest recommendation. Pros * Keeps radar detector perfectly positioned and out of the way * Mirror can be adjusted without moving detector * No more suction cup marks on windshield * No more damage occurring from suction cup losing grip * Very easy to remove detector (when leaving car with valet or getting it washed etc) * Very good price considering the quality and problems it solves. Really its a pretty good deal for sure quite solid and holds the detector nice, yeah its no blend mount but for the $$$ zero issues

    • Recommended...but check your mirror first
UPDATED below Well made, solid machined metal. Arrived quickly - a lot sooner than the delivery window mentioned at the time of ordering this. I did email the maker, Package Group, to ask if it would fit my Audi Q5's mirror but never heard from them. Thats a negative. The bracket is well made and feels solid. It comes with an extra set of longer screws and a hex wrench. On my Audi, I actually had to use the longer screws. Before you get this, I suggest you look at the gap between the the back of the mirror and the cosmetic housing that actually attaches to the windshield. If the visible stalk of the mirror is very short, you will run into the problem that I have... When the mirror is parallel to the windshield, the bracket has just enough space to squeeze in. But on the Audi, this space is very cramped and when tilting the mirror to the driving position, I found that it no longer can go as far. It almost does - almost - and it's still not bad, but it is a problem that will need me to find a solution or just get used to it. If I cannot do either of these, I will probably try the Blendmount. Beyond that, this bracket is great. Something I did not realize from the pictures - the mount itself can actually swivel and tilt in multiple planes so you can mount it at a variety of angles and still get the radar detector to end up pointing forward and be level. Also, it comes with its own clip to hold the V1 radar detector (the version I got). The bracket that clamps on to the mirror stalk has small teeth to be able to grip into the stalk. I am sure those teeth will leave a few marks. While no one is really going to go looking for marks and scratches in that particular part of the car, I wanted to avoid it if possible. So, I attached two thick strips of rubber (from a bike handle bar mount for action cam). The bracket actually went on very well and holds the radar detector firmly, without any wobble whatsoever at highway speeds. All in all, so far it has been great. The radar detector does not wobble one bit. Highly recommended. UPDATE: So, I tried and tried to get the mirror to angle into a satisfactory driving position but could not. With the mirror in position, the mount would be crooked or with the mount OK, the mirror would not be in good position. I finally had to give up, and order the product from Blendmount (search amazon for BV1-2000 http://www.amazon.com/BV1-2000-BlendMount-Valentine-Precision-Manufactured/dp/B0030EOODW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1436716499&sr=8-3&keywords=blendmount) That mount from Blendmount works a lot better. BUT, keep in mind that I had to go that route only because the gap behind my car's mirror was actually very small. I had this installed in a 2018 Subaru Forester for a cross country snow trip on bad roads, worked amazing and no more dealing with suction cups. Then I installed the mount in my 2011 Ram 2500 and this mount is going to live there now. Worked on both vehicles so much cleaner looking and easier to silence in the location ... show more

AWESOME mount for my V1. Installed in 2021 Subaru Forester and was worried about reaching the garage door opener buttons built into the bottom of my mirror. This mount is completely adjustable in pitch and yaw. The mount to detector point rattled just a little bit so I snugged it up by adding adhesive backed 1/8” foam to the top of my detector and then installed it into the mount by locking in the right side first, and then the left side (instead of sliding it in). Perfect mount. It looks great, and no pesky suction cups. The seller was great to answer any questions I had and was a real friendly guy. He made sure my package arrived as soon as possible. I ordered on a Friday, and they came in on Monday. Excellent customer service. Now for the mount. It eliminates the pesky suction cups and also allows for ease of use with my V1. It adds a clean look, and it NEVER wobbles. Very solid build material, and it came with everything preassembled. And it had the torx tool included too! I absolutely cannot complain about this product at all. My radar looks great and doesn't move at all while driving, even off road. The seller went out of his way as well.     • Loosens too easily.
Great position for the detector, however, the frame holding the detector loosens easily. Having to carry a Allen wrench to keep tightening the mirror support. Afraid to over torque the screws because the frame is plastic. Also not sure about using a product like Lock-Tite with all the plastic parts.
