    • Meshist Metal Office Desktop Organizer
There are at least 3 things wrong with this unit which I will serialize in 3 simple points and in order of relevance in my product review. 1) This product I have found, is unnecessarily difficult to assemble. The unit is shipped unassembled in cut panels and connection rods to assemble the the unit. You have to align hinged holes on each side of the office caddy in order to insert the metal rods to assemble and hold the chassis together in final assembly. It would be better to have an extra pair of hands to help hold the panels segments together while trying to align the hinged holes and the panels together, in order to insert the metal rod connectors. I found this extremely difficult to accomplish and I use to assembly plastic model kits as a hobby, when I was a kid as well! It also took a bit of bending and tucking of the metal parts in order to get them to fit together properly! Definitely NOT a Lego or Lincoln Log project where the parts fit together more readily! 2) The sturdiness of this assembled all metal office caddy is low grade as it seems flimsy, even after the unit is finally assembled. It seems too light-weight as a completed structure for it to stand up to normal use. Even just to hold sheets of papers, letters or envelopes. The Rose Gold metal looks dull and lack luster when sitting next to the other office supply holders on my work station. 3) The spacing between front shelves which holds letter size sheets of paper, (11 in x 8.5 in) seem to close together. So much so that your reach feels awkward and not ergonomic when you have to reach for any materials occupying the 3 shelve tiers. The 3 front shelves are level in length with each other. It would be better if the shelves were tiered with recessed or indented levels of the shelves. Having the shelf with the longest length on the base of the caddy, with the upper tiers of lesser shelf lengths graduated in the top tiers. So you had or fingers do not bump into or are restricted when fetching sheets of paper or putting finished correspondence on the shelves. These improvement to this product would make the unit more functional and efficient as the Meshist Metal office desktop organizer! ... show more

This is a great organizer. The only reason why I sent it back is due to the fact that the back portion is too big without a divider and my folders would just fold in. I knew that it did not have a divider when I bought it and I wanted it that way, only to find out that it would not work with what I needed to put in there. It feels sturdy enough and it look great with the rest of my stuff. The shelves are the same size as a folder so there is no overhang, which is nice for neatness. Some may frown about that as it does make it wider. Up to preference then. I will buy from this company again. ... show more

I intend to use this in my cubicle at work for organizing books and outgoing. It was easy to set up, even with the fact that it arrived slightly damaged. It seems to be sturdy, at least sufficient to its use. On the two horizontal shelves, where the mesh might be too thin to work adequately, the manufacturer has reinforced the shelf with a fairly heavy-duty wire, which should work great. The shelves and the pocket are large enough to accommodate 8 1/2" x 11" papers, and will each hold a good-sized book. I gave it 4 stars because the color is nowhere near what was pictured, MUCH more a brown than a rose gold, and so it doesn't really match what I already have on my desk. ... show more

I think it’s nice, it’s a little bigger than I expected but it holds all my notebooks and works as a good divider for each class I have. It was fairly easy to put together I just think the middle one is hard to keep it in because the sides seemed far apart therefore it doesn’t fit tightly. Over all it’s sturdy. ... show more

This is pretty sturdy and much easier to assemble than it looks when you first open up the package. It’s more of a dusty rose gold than a bright and shiny copper so it doesnt 100% match my office supplies but they definitely work well together. It’s a little bigger than expected so make sure you have enough room on your desk for this. ... show more
