This is roomy and cute. My bun is free roam but likes to have a base for resting and she loves this hutch. It’s easy to just close it up if company is over or she needs some downtime. This is a honest review THIS PROJECT TOOK ME ABOUT 7 HOURS! with help. I'm a person that frequents Ikea for furniture. When it comes to assembling furniture, on a scale from 1-10, I'm a 6. Not a beginner, not a pro, If your a pro you can definitely assemble this item within an hour (alone). I had the help of a friend with the same level of skill as myself. These are 3 main issues that contributed to our 7 hour assembly time: #1 The build is primarily treated (painted) wood. There is an annoying smell, since the build was processed and confined in a box for some time. We let it air out prior to assembling it, **This contributed 21/2 hours towards the assembly time.** Note: we use this time to sort out parts making sure everything was accounted for, and not broken. #2 11/2 hour into the build it was apparent that we definitely needed a power drill. (I had to pause project and drive to local store to buy a basic power drill set, I didn't have one). So skip, the Phillips screw driver despite what instructions say. A power drill is all you need, **This contributed 2 hours towards assembly time.** #3 Instructions are written in broken English. The diagrams help a little, you must pay close attention to the small details in pictures. These instructions are quite vague and not clearly written. *There were at least 3 times we had to disassemble and reassemble build due to misunderstanding muddled directions. **This contributed 11/2 hours towards assembly time. ***NOTE: THERE IS A POINT IN THE BEGINNING WHERE SECOND LEVEL DOOR HAS A STOPPER GLUED ON THE INWARD SIDE OF IT, WHICH PREVENTED FRONT WALL FROM BEING CONNECTED TO ANOTHER. THIS IS AN EASY FIX JUST REMOVE IT, THEN REATTACH IT IF YOU WANT. ***THERE ARE VARIOUS POINTS WHERE YOU MAY HAVE TO FORM YOUR OWN HOLES FOR SCREWS IN HUTCH ( NOT A PROBLEM IF YOU HAVE A POWER DRILL). OVERALL IT IS A SOLID BUILD, THE WOOD MATERIAL IS QUITE STURDY. MODEL I CHOSE HAS PLENTY OF SPACE FOR ONE BUNNY. MY BUNNY LOVES IT. ALTHOUGHT MY BUNNY IS A CHEWER HE DOESN'T CHEW ON THIS HUTCH. ... show more

I’m actually nervous to leave my rabbit in this. It is so flimsy. The wood is so thin like a paint stirrer. I wanted to love this, it’s adorable. If the company would just use a more quality wood, even if it made it pricier, it would have been nice. I sprayed it with a sealer but it’s so porous, it did nothing. The holes did not line up in building either. It’s frustrating that nothing is of quality nowadays. I feel like one good storm and this is done. ... show more
