  • Ridiculous durability
Size: 12 Pairs Color: Black
So I don't often take time to leave reviews because I don't think they're read very often. But I had to leave one for these sticks. I am a drummer in several bands, one being heavy metal. I played a 3-hour gig on Saturday night and did not break one stick. Not one. Honestly, not even one is close to breaking. I figured for the price, I would go through three or four pair but nope... These babies stood up strong! Why anybody would pay three times for a high-end brand name is beyond me. Frankly, that's what I did but never again. These are my drumsticks for life! ... show more

  • Great sticks
Size: 12 Pairs Color: Black
I bought a 12 pack because my original sticks that came with my Simmons Titan 70 broke in the 1st week. I have had these for a couple of months and have not broken a single stick yet. I am guessing all 12 of these will last me quite a long time. Great bundle.

  • Surprising craftsmanship
Size: 12 Pairs Color: Black
I have played with Vic Firths, Promarks, Meinl, and various other brands of sticks. I've always had problems with both/either feel or longevity of the stick tips until now. I am extremely surprised by the feel of these sticks and their ability to take a real beating without chipping and cracking early. Good quality especially for the price. ... show more

  • Consistent but break easy
Size: 12 Pairs Color: Black
I normally use the Vic Firth equivalent sticks. These seem to break fairly easy. If I have to guess the Vic Firth last twice as long. You can tell the difference because with the Vic Firth break, there's normally a crack, but these just snap and fly each time. Guess it looks cooler? I'd probably buy again since they are cheap enough, but wouldn't use them live. Practice only. ... show more

  • I was surprised. Pleasantly surprised.
Size: 6 Pairs Color: Orange
First of all, I’m not a brand loyalist, so those of you with a Vic Firth, Promark, or other drumstick brand/size/drummer/nylon tip bias, chances are, my review will likely not make you change your mind. Sorry in advance. Second, these are a 5A stick. If you are brand new to drumming, 5A is an excellent starting point. The majority of professional drummers either use 5A’s, have a signature stick based on the 5A model but with different specs, or could still absolutely shred with a 5A, even if it’s not their preferred model. Please keep this in mind when considering my review. Now, for the review. I saw QuigBeats claim that these were Select USA Hickory and immediately thought, no way. These are probably the same maple garbage sticks that are floating around all over Amazon. But I had to find out, so I bought a six-pack of the orange colored sticks. They came in the mail today, and I had to try them. Sure enough, they are hickory. They are solid sticks, all six pairs were straight (two sticks were a bit questionable but not egregious - I will still use them, and I am picky). Definitely not pitch matched, but so far none of the sticks feel like dead wood. My guess is, these are factory seconds of another legit stick company, where the only issue was blemished wood, hence the paint job. They feel good, imagine a cross between the Vater LA 5A and a Zildjian 5A acorn tip. A bit rear-weighted, which I like, and the paint seems to be more durable than I had expected, even after an hour of shedding. You might get pairs that aren’t as good as mine and might break immediately. Or your technique might lend you to go through sticks more quickly than I do. I can’t speak to that. But these sticks are going into my gig bag, and I can see myself using them, and definitely practicing with them. Note: one reviewer commented that they don’t like how the tips of the drumsticks are unfinished. They do this so you don’t get the paint on your drumheads. Prior to the early 2000’s, many signature sticks (most notably Vic Firth’s Steve Gadd and Dave Weckl models, and Zildjian’s Travis Barker model) had colored tips. Now days, with limited exception you’d be hard-pressed to find a signature stick with painted tips. ... show more

I am still using this, kind of easily broken, but I got 6 pairs, so who cares?

  • Very inconsistent wood quality & weight
Size: 6 Pairs Color: White
I bought a pack of 6 pairs as the price was pretty good for "premium hickory". They came packaged nice in a box. The 3pr on the top were great! Great weight to the sticks & they've managed to last a couple practices & a gig so far and I only broken 1pr so far (of those first 3prs). I'm a fairly heavy hitter so, I was actually kind of impressed by how long these have lasted so far. On to the next 3 pairs from the bottom of the box. All 3 were so light weight, it's like they were made out of poplar or soft maple. I think 2 of those sticks weighed about as much as one of the other ones. I tried the bend test & barely put any pressure on it & they snapped like a twig. No way they'd last more than 1 song. Good thing & I checked them out before I ordered more these. I'm pretty shocked that these sticks arrived in the same package. Out of the lot of 6pr. I'm happy with 2pr & semi happy with 1pr. Extremely disappointed with the remaining 3 pair. It was worth a shot. So, you may or may not get something that will last a while. Of the good sticks, the only bad thing is that it will leave paint chips all over your drums. But, I really do like the white sticks as you can see them pretty good on stage. If these were consistent, I'd certainly buy more. ... show more
