    • Nice tent and great customer service (updated)
I made the mistake of buying a "used - very good" 8X8. When I set it up for the first time, one of the locking mechanisms on a leg broke in the up position - I could not lower then tent. I had to break the leg to lower and disassemble the tent. When assembled, it is a nice canopy tent with all the side walls up. I would have been happy with it. So, is the tent quality questionable, or did I make the mistake of ordering a used item? Not sure. Due to bad weather, I waited to long to set it up, so could not return it. When I tried to purchase a replacement frame from the manufacturer (China), they were very responsive, but they didn't seem to understand what I was requesting (after numerous emails) so that was a dead end. Update: The China manufacturer very actually very helpful and they sent me replacement parts as soon as I was able to give the their product number (on the shipping box). The parts arrived in a few days. They were great. Because of the great customer service, I update my review to 5 stars. ... show more

    • Compact and very easy to set up.
I mistakenly ordered the 8x8 when I needed the 6.6x6.6 older white model (CT1207W which I found on ebay - may even be same seller). The seller was extremely gracious and had the order turned around mid-shipment and refunded my purchase. Fantastic customer service! I suspect my older version is similar in structure so I can at least comment on that. It comes in nice black zipped case and no assembly of frame is necessary. It was extremely easy to set up and can be done by one person but would be much, much easier with two people. Throw the fabric top over the frame and gently pull the frame apart and make sure each leg clicks in at the top. Secure top with velcro tabs and then add the sidewalls in any configuration you want, also with velcro. There are two zippered sidewalls and two with mesh windows (with zip closures for complete privacy). I was setting mine up inside an apartment as an extra bedroom and the pole holding up the peak was too tall. One screw held it in place so I removed it and used a shorter pole I had laying around from a garment rack and Bob's your uncle. Sturdy enough for indoor use. For outside use this definitely needs to be tied down and weighted since frame is sturdy but lightweight. ... show more

Overpriced for what it is, didn’t last a whole season. Super thin and flimsy material, barely survived a pine cone. Also, the actual dimensions are 97”x97”. So, no 8’x8’ canopy top replacement will fit it.. interestingly enough. Unless you’re a contractor and know how to shrink the frame an inch with self tapping screws in the cross members, I don’t suggest this one. ... show more

    • Didn't hold up with the weather
The first big snow we got it crumpled before I could get it cleaned off and bent all the support bars. Loved it at first but t didn't hold up for long.

    • Ok for short term use, not high quality
Directions with the tent were not that easy to follow but eventually we found a video that was helpful and it was quick to assemble . Tent is sturdy for gentle use. Disappointment and reason for the lower rating is that material is thin so it is pulling away and starting to tear at the seams. Noticed small holes at the seams where the Velcro tabs are sewn in on the top canopy piece, when we put it up. unfortunately while the overall fabric is water resistant, the holes are getting bigger now letting water drip in. I debated about returning when I saw the holes but honestly, it would have been such a pain to pack it all up and ship back that I thought about them more as cosmetic and decided to live with them. I didn’t think about them getting bigger . Now I’m not sure it will last more than a season. ... show more

    • Perfect as a cover for my new Hot tub
Great value. I recently got a new hot tub and placed it on my patio, but in mid-day the sun was hot. This canopy is perfect. I removed all 4 sides and just have the top / roof up. Then, sometimes if there is a breeze or the sun is low and hitting the hot tub, I put one side panel on. As my hot tub is on a concrete patio, I also purchased the canopy leg weights that Amazon suggested. They work really good. Even in pretty strong winds the canopy stays in place. I first got the 20 pound set which is 5 lbs on each let. Then also got the 30 lbs set. So I have a 7 1/2 lbs and 5 lbs for a total of 12 1/2 lbs for each leg. A grant total of 50 lbs. So basically I leave mine up all the time and it is semi permeant. Great buy for the cost. I did take it down once and will probably take it down in the late fall / winter. It was ok to take down or put up by myself. So it is doable by one person. But probably would be easier with 2 people. ... show more

    • Quick Free Replacement Parts
I ordered this canopy last September (September 26th 2022 to be exact) to use for tailgating. I wanted something with sides for shade and protection from wind and rain. When I received it, I did unbox the canopy but never took it out of its carrying case. It sat in my garage in its carrying case unopened until September 2nd of this year. I took the canopy out of the carrying case to do a practice setup before our home opener and found the lower button on one leg to be broken. When I inquired about purchasing a new button, Ivy (from Quictent) promptly responded that the tent was still under warranty and they would send me a replacement button free of charge. I inquired about installation instructions for the button and was informed the button itself was difficult to install (which proved to be true) and that Quicitent would be sending me an entire leg assembly. The leg assembly arrived within a week and I installed it very quickly (less than 20 minutes). I want to thank Quictent (and especially Ivy) for the quick (less than 12 hour) responses to my numerous emails and for the extremely strong backing of their product. ... show more
