If I could give 0 stars I would. It’sa piece of crap that was difficult to put together and broke immediately. The quality is bad! Save yourself some trouble and do not buy this product. Customer service was very helpful with the return though.

    • Serves it's purpose
First, make sure you have help putting this together. It took me, a friend, and a drill about 5 hours to put this together and we are not new to putting together furniture. Also, don't rely on the pictures of the screws to see what goes where. They don't match. Also, the different screws are mixed in some bags so I would take the time to separate out before starting. Having to redo a few contributed to about an extra 45 minutes to our completion time. Also, some of the holes are not pre-drilled so you will have to guess on some of it. Lastly, put a cloth down before working. I did it on the laminate floor and it did rub some of the paint off. Quality: It's okay. It scratches easily and it does creak. Also, the picture doesn't show it, but there is a gap between the top and panel showing part of the hardware and also a large gap between the bottom drawer and the front panel. During the building portion, some of the screws did crack the boards. Overall: I plan to only use this bed 1-2 times a year and I was on a time crunch so this is why I ordered this product. Under different circumstances, I would have paid more for a better quality one. BUT it works and my guest was comfortable on this. All pieces came intact. I made an economical decision and I'm not unhappy with it. Bed: I bought the 6 inch folding mattress and it fits perfectly on the bed and inside the hutch for storage. I did buy a protector bag for it, to keep dust and mites out. ... show more

When I purchased the reviewed were much better. Assembly was difficult but not impossible. Hot mattress and one person about 200 lbs tried it out and was ok. Since it was a guest bed it wasn’t used. When doing some cleaning we opened up the bed again. This time two people laid on the bed weight approximately 340 total and the bed completely crumbled. I purchased this bed for our lake house for additional sleeping accommodations. To that end, this is an attractive and functional piece of furniture that meets our intended use. However, the number of pieces required to assemble this unit was ridiculous. Just sorting through the pieces was a major task. Since the unit has so many parts, the end product is not very study. This is definitely not something you can expect to use on a regular bases. I have assembled all types of products over the years but nothing compared to this. It took me nearly 8 hours to complete. Just as my headline states. Beautiful and sturdy, I can also add great quality, great functionality, works great in a small area. I put this in an office/spare bedroom and it fit perfect. With plenty of room to walk when down. Easy to use once assembled. Big gripe is the instructions, which are vary vague on the orientation of a lot of the pieces. All the pieces where well marked, but could easily be confused with the opposite side. I would easily give it 5 stars if not for the instruction issues. I took my time and it is not to hard to figure out, but you will be assembling and re-assembling because of the issues. All the parts arrived in great condition with great fitment. Great concept. But not worth the money! Was expecting family for the 4th holiday and needed extra bed. Took over 4 hours for someone that does construction for a living to put together. To begin with a few pieces came cracked but no time to return and get another one. It wasn’t critical so continued with putting together. A few screws missing but my contractor was able to replace. Once it was finished, the drawer was a joke as you can see in the picture. After my grandson slept on it one night, it cracked more and pieces of wood fell off, it ended up in the dump! Assembly instructions were insufficient, and materials were of low quality. Bed broke under normal circumstances after only one night of sleeping on it, the weight limit was never exceeded. Unfortunately all of the reviews were posted after I had already purchased the bed. Would not recommend. Amazon was very helpful with the return, however required it to be disassembled and preferred original packaging. Was able to contact Amazon customer service via phone to arrange disassembled pickup without packaging as I had already disposed of it to make room in my small apartment. ... show more

This could be a much better product. Much better. It appears as the photos depicted. The materials are a bit on the subpar side, so it feel feels as though it's temporary but not priced like it is. It's very time consuming to put together for one person especially if you're not handy. The legs have to installed exactly where they're supposed to be or else this won't work. It say capable of handling up to 600lbs. Hmmmm. 🤔 This should be made better or the price lowered-- one or the other. I am not satisfied. ... show more
