I am loving this bed frame! All the pieces were sturdy and well made. In addition to the standard feet at the corners, I really like the stability of 5 more connections to the floor. Most of the base of the frame is metal and the slats that the mattress rests on are solid wood. The fabric looks great and has a classic look and feel. I can also confirm that there is no sound when using the bed. I was very happy at how well labeled each part was and how easy it was to match up with the part list page of the instructions. My only complaint about the part list was that there are different sized bolts, and some are labeled the same. It came with two different sized Allen wrenches, but if you have bits the right size for your screwdriver it is a lot easier. As we started to put the bed together, I realized that some of the bolts were already in position, you just need to loosen them to attach or slide some parts together. Even so, we were only left with 3 extra ones. I would add some caution that the instructions are missing some details: - As part of Step 3, the orientation of Part 8, which bolts into the headboard, needs to be facing the right side. We decided to just move the bolts that were already in the screw holes to the other side when attaching it. This was a mistake that we had to reverse a little later. - In Step 4 it does not reference needing to connect multiple pieces into Part 3 There were some other issues, but those caused the most confusion. Also, it took two of us over 90 minutes to put together, not a huge amount of time, but a lot more than was listed. ... show more

The CXVX Platform Bed with Wingback Headboard bed frame uses Velcro wooden slats and a wide wingback to secure the mattress from moving and prevent pillows from falling off. The wingback also reinforces the stability of the bed frame and the 9 support feet and 10 equidistant wooden slats strongly support up to 1000lbs. The classic tufted design is modern and fresh-looking. While most of the screws are already pre-installed on the fittings and no additional tools are needed other than the provided Allen wrenches, I disagree that it takes only 30 minutes to set up. I spent 30 minutes plus trying to screw the wingback sides to the headboard frame only to finally realize the screws do not line up! This is the one issue I have with this bed. I finally screwed the bottom part of the wingback to the headboard using different screws. Maybe the screw alignment on my bed was a fluke, but if you come across this issue, save your mind and time by grabbing two long screws from your basement collection and screw them into the bottom where they will be undetectable. Also, 6 inches from the ground to the bed frame is very short. I didn't realize how close to the floor this bed lies. Keep this in mind if you like a higher bed. Its light grey tone looks very high-end and can be matched with any style of furniture in the bedroom. The headboard is a tufted cushion design, which is not only beautiful to look at, but also very comfortable to lean on, especially suitable for people like me who like to lean on the bed to read or watch TV series. The wingback design also adds some unique modern touches to the head of the bed. The wooden slats of the bed frame are designed to support stability. No additional box spring is required. We got this bed frame to replace one of those simple metal bases with a box spring and headboard. Our previous bed was very tall, so we were hoping to find something with slats that would be a bit lower to the floor. This bed frame was very easy to assemble, it took me about an hour to do so alone. I really love the color in person, its gray with blue undertones. Once assembled its very sturdy (not squeaky at all). One thing to consider is that its a bit lower to the ground than their measurements claimed (it's about an inch off). We had a wood bed frame and the headboard was too tall, which blocked our access a window above the bed. This bed has a lower headboard that fits perfectly under the window. The upholstery is nice and soft and assembly was pretty easy. There were a few bolts on the headboard that were a little challenging to line up, but ultimately, everything came together. We did not use the included slats, as we set our adjustable bedframe inside this bedframe. It works great for that purpose and our adjustable bed fit perfectly. Our adjustable bed sits a little high, so this upholstered frame looks a little funny. I'll add a tailored bed skirt to cover the gap, which will also protect the upholstery from being confused with a cat scratching post. Overall, I am very happy with this bed as it met both of our needs: fitting under the window and accommodating our adjustable bed. ... show more

The bed came disassembled in a plain carboard package. The instructions were reasonable and the assembly went easy, especially using an allen socket vs. a 90 degree allen wrench. It looks like the photographs and the upholstered finish gives it softer appeal than just wood or metal. I intentionally chose those bed frame because of the no box spring needed. With my mattress and no box spring, the height is just about chair height for me to sit on the bed comfortably, with my feet on the floor.
